Morning all,

Good news, the nasty lump on Mosley's ear is bengin. Since he is a boxer, seeing hard bumps give me anixety, but we got good news and were given meds, so it should get better. I also got to play 18 holes yesterday, and did not play well but did get to play so that was good. 

@GolfSpy_KFT sorry to hear about the kids getting sick. Praying for a quick recovery. Also in my opinion, rant away. We all need a place to put some frustations into. If you ever need a ear to bend, feel free to reach out.

Had our second baseball practice last night which my son unfortunately had to miss due to a case of pink eye. Sounds like it is going around in his classroom so no real surprise he picked that up. Already started eye drops and he should be able to go to school tomorrow. His birthday is Saturday (turning 7) and we are planning on going to a waterpark hotel Sunday and both boys will get the day off school Monday.

Our youngest has some sort of nasty upper respiratory infection it seems like with gunky coughs and a plugged up nose, so hoping he feels better by then. He had also been getting one random fever a week (except this week) for the last probably month or so that wouldn't even last a full day and then be gone. We took him in to see the pediatrician yesterday in regards to that and now whatever he's dealing with, and he ordered some lab work to be precautionary. We of course were his last patient of the day yesterday, so while we've gotten all the lab results back, we haven't heard from him yet on any kind of diagnosis. @cnosil I think this discussion came up before with being able to get lab results back so quickly as a blessing and a curse. Having a very basic understanding of some of this is also a blessing and a curse. All of his blood cell counts look normal, which should be a good sign. He did have some elevated outcomes and some low outcomes, so those are what are weighing on our minds currently. I am anxiously awaiting hearing something back from his pediatrician, and it is going to be a long day until we do. Hopefully it'll be this morning at a reasonable time. 

Sorry to rant on about all that, I just really appreciate the community support of this forum. 

Going to be a fantastic community call today, but I am going to be leaving work early this afternoon to stay in line with my weekly hours and hopefully plan on getting the boys out onto the golf course, so will have to miss out.

That's great news @Samuel09152! We had a Yellow Labrador Retriever that had a lump under one of his ears, and it didn't turn out well. He did have cancer and we unfortunately had to put him to rest. I was no good for a long time: they are family. My wife and I discussed it and we can't do the emotional stress any more. We are just enjoying friends dogs at this point. I couldn't go through that again. I'm very happy to hear that your situation is a positive one!

bright sunny start to the day and the birds are singing... over the hump and the weekend is right around the corner. finishing up new ferrules and pleased with how they came out. should be getting my new putter today and shotscope tomorrow and shoes soon thereafter! 

now I'm really intrigued by Saturday @GolfSpy_APH had me thinking that Saturday would be the Vokey's with his earlier tease.

hoping to join the call tonight. sounds like it will be a lot of fun and very informative.

Weather here in Buffalo is finally going to start to turn. Monday is my leagues first day. Super pumped up. Last night my buddies and I drafted teams for our golf trip in June. Golf is happening!!!

Vokey is Saturday. We just had a little snafu that meant I had to open it earlier.

Newport News is fine it is on the Kingsmill side of the Tunnel.    Norfolk is on the other side of the tunnel.   Since Newport News is small and has limited flights they tend to be expensive

Yeah... That's what happens when I try to be productive and get things done ahead of time.

There will be a good portion that still receive it as Stix, but with the distribution taking several hours there will be many with SM10. Annoying, but now I know better for next time.

They are family, and our young daughter loves this dog. I worked in veterinary hospitals for almost 10 years, so it was one of those things where you know to much and that causes to many negative thoughts. I hate that y'all had to say goodbye to a him! I truly understand that idea of not going through it again, I am likely very close to that, but I don't know if my wife is there though.

Good morning Spies!

It is a sunny frosty morning in CNY. Two cuppas down. Blueberry protein pancakes in my belly and a 10:10 am tee time scheduled. SWMBO has a waterproof arm cover and will try some pool exercises today. She has been out of the pool for 4 weeks today. She really misses it. I’m happy for her. It’s her “golf course”. 
 

@GolfSpy_KFT hope your boys feel better soon.

Great test opportunities appeared this morning and looking forward to the Community Call this afternoon. I actually have to remember that it is on.

Signed up for a little putting clinic this morning at the country club my fiancé and I joined recently. Quick little one hour lesson teaching the basics and a little aim point. Really excited to get some proper feedback. I’ve never done any lessons for putting since I’ve spent my lesson times hitting irons mostly and been going with point and pray on my putts.

Thinking of a bathroom remodel, so headed out today to look at options.  Otherwise, just usual stretches and workout routine and short game work.

My wife just got off the phone with our pediatrician and there was nothing alarming to him based on the lab results for our youngest. I can now breathe again and enjoy the day. Thanks for the individual responses, guys.

I again just can't state enough how appreciative I am of this community. It feels like an extension of family, and it is what makes me truly love this place!

Been a busy start to the day and about two hours ago my day got a WHOLE LOT BETTER! As I posted yesterday, I won a giveaway during Masters week for some amazing headcovers from CMC. I won those by making the correct selection of Scottie at -11, and then a random draw from those who had the same. I also won a giveaway from a small Lefties golf page for a hat and a glove, and just found out today that I won a COBRA Darkspeed Season Opener Edition Driver! I was one of three individuals to again pick Scottie at -11. Three golf balls were put into a bag with our names written on them and mine was pulled. To say I am ecstatic is an understatement! It's going to be such a good looking club that I think I'll have a hard time playing it, but that line of drivers has been so dang good that I'm going to have no choice but to give it a whirl. 

What a day!

My question of the day is this: What is the best way to teach your child the game of golf? And what is a good age to begin this? My son is 6, soon to be 7 and it is certainly challenging!

Was frosty on the way in to work today, but getting warmer later, still only about 50 today. Is actual golf weather EVER going to come (and stay) here in the midwest?  Still early spring, but still want what we want, right?
