Were these the Whitebox golf balls our 80 plus members tested? Maybe... maybe not!

Either way @Tony Covey MGS believes these are a hidden gem!

I believe someone cut open one of the test balls and it was 3 piece.  

I did find one of tour soft this morning and played a hole with it.  It wasn't too bad.  Greenside it actually had a little stopping power to it.

Is the AVX not returning? Would love a side by side by side comparison of the 3.

I'm personally not too excited about this release, but I sure find a lot of these balls out in the wild. So they should be helping some people! I'm surprised at the $40 price point for the TourSoft. I expected it to be $35 tops.

Maybe they're releasing the AVX  later this year? They had a lot of data to go through from the White Box testing!

My jaw literally dropped when I saw that. The Tour Speed is $37/doz (yeah, yeah, discontinued, whatever) but there's no way the Tour Soft is as good a ball, performance-wise, as the Tour Speed. 

(I have a suspicion the Tour Speed was cannibalizing some ProV1 sales from people thinking it was a "budget ProV1." That ball was legit. Low-spin in the long game, reasonable greenside performance, not entirely a marshmallow...)

The tour speed intrigued me from the results of the 2023 MGS ball test also. I was considering picking some up to give them a little tryout, but now I think I’ll stick with maxfli’s. 

Maybe the tour soft will be just as good or better than the tour speed, but it doesn’t sound like it.

I bet as the season progresses there will be more "sale specials" on them just to move inventory. Then again, people will also use that "its15$ a dozen cheaper" mindset to justify playing a titleist ball of any sort

Thanks @RickyBobby_PR! That's a pretty quick turnaround considering most of the white box tests were done at the beginning of Dec.

Well to be fair they aren’t using the white box tests for this release or in any year for the release for that year(example for the 2023 release of the prov1). they get pro feedback along with their testing and get some white box testing but that’s usually after they have a planned release date

 

They are getting the feedback for the ball and using that for future updates to the ball or to maybe not continue that line.

Exactly. The “test” cycle is way too late to have an impact on the upcoming release (granted it is a fairly inexpensive marketing and customer feedback effort).

Looks like the Tour Speed is going away.  A lot of my senior partners are not going to be happy.  They may start looking to other companies for something that will be a good equal and at a better price than the Pro V1's.
