It def looks promising. 

It's so funny to me that I struggle with driver though. It has to be all mental.  Ha.

I'm in a similar boat. Not jiving with the Ping driver, so that experiment may come to an end. I'm likely going to trade in some old clubs I haven't got round to selling yet and take advantage of the Callaway double points trade-in to buy the Ai smoke triple diamond max driver. I was gaming Callaway Rogue driver before the Ping.

But the TSR2+ 13* I'm confident that I'll hit straight or slight fade the vast majority of the time and hit it around 240-250yds. That Callaway mini driver looks badass! Hope it works as great as it looks.

So far from hitting it about 30-40 times today at the range, the flight and distance are good.  Real test will be at the course but I'm liking what I am seeing.  I have it turned down to 12* and using the longer shaft.

My first box of goodies came in yesterday. 

Winn 2020 vsn midsized pistol putter grip. Royal midsized putter grip, and a maltby .370 smooth taper shaft in chrome black. And a grip install kit.

Will be building my first putter from scratch.

Found an old titleist dead shot putter at the good will. Took it home,cleaned it up and the next day made an amazing 30 ft putt that no one will ever see since I played by myself. Hands down best purchase ever at $2.95.

more golf tees, i keep on losing like 3-4 every round

When I saw Taylormade had released the Tiger Woods grind MG4 wedges in raw (under the tour only releases) I couldn’t resist. I have been gaming and enjoying the MG3 TW 56* wedge, so the chance to get the full Tiger spec wedge with the new MG4 face couldn’t be missed. Full Tiger spec includes the S400 shaft he apparently plays (not the same as the standard MG3 was and I think the MG4) and the cord grip he uses.
Well it arrived today. 

 

Here are a couple of photos showing the difference in finish and coloring compared to the MG3 TW. 

 

I threw on a new grip (Golf Pride tour velvet midsize Plus4 with extra wraps of tape) and put it straight in the bag. 
The MG4 face feels really rough and grippy. It really does rip the ball. First time I used it on course (league night tonight) I played a firm, low punchy chip and the ball ripped and came to a prompt halt on the green. Quicker than I’d expected! 
It will take take a little getting used to as it does feel different, but I really like how it plays and feels so far. hopefully the diagonal micro grooves/ridges on the face last longer than some reports suggested early on. 

I also have a new gap wedge (50*) on its way. I ordered the same KBS x-stiff shaft I game in my irons as it’s mostly a full swing club. Looking forward to that arriving!

I would say it's just "ok"

At full price, I likely wouldn't buy their clothes, but on sale? Yeah for sure. I typically wear Travis Mathew shirts because we had a corporate account with them that has since kinda fell out. I hit up a Linksoul sale at Land and Sea here locall,y and picked up a couple polos to see if maybe I wanted to reach out to Linksoul and see if they'll make custom shirts for us. If they offered us the same discount as TM, I would probably order some, but I think TM quality is a touch better.

I tend to find them on sale for cheap and stock up!  I lose quite a bit of them too, usually 3 to 5 per round.

I only have a LinkSoul t-shirt and hat that I bought at Goat Hill Park. The t-shirt is soft and comfortable. The hat is lightweight and is the perfect summer hat. So I decided to grab a polo at 50% off.

Not clubs but always love adding a new pair of shoes to the rotation. Even better for a good price. Burlington has become a weekly stop for me to see if they have any golf shoes. Picked these for $30. Spikeless Nikes are some of my go-tos when I’m going to walk a round

Course was doing a promotion last weekend with Titleist golf balls, buy a dozen and you only pay the cart fee.

Picked up some AVX to see if they were the same as the test last year.  Durability still seemed to lack a little, but overall still enjoy playing these.

Thata a problem for me too. Bealls, Burlington,  Ross, TJmaxx, all carry the runoff shoes for cheap, IF you can find your size.

Picked up some new wedges! Sub 70 JB Forged Raw in 54° and 58°. Shout out to @GolfSub70 for accommodating customizations!

Had the wedges lengthened and lie adjusted to match my irons. Also went with the Nippon Modus3 120g to match, but went down a flex to Reg. First started thinking about this after the Ping community call where that was suggested. Really excited to see how that translates onto the course, early results in the backyard have been great!

Also picked up a “well-loved” Srixon Z H85 3 hybrid. Maybe a little more worn than I was expecting, but for $40 I can’t complain too much still feels great.

Good morning. So, I did not buy these but, I was impressed enough with the quality of the ball to give them a mention. I was given a dozen Srixon Z Star Diamond balls. I threw a sleeve in the bag for vacation as a just in case. I played the same ball for 3 full rounds and was certainly not disappointed with any aspect of performance. It has absolutely blown past all the competition to become my new 1b ball. I'm still a Maxfli guy, but man this is a very good ball.

I’m a Z-Star guy myself. I always stick up when they offer the buy 2 get one free deals. I’ve compared them to Left Dash, TaylorMade TP5, Maxfli and Callaway balls. The Z-Star has equaled or surpassed performance for distance and green side spin for me. And priced around $35/dz when you get them at the discounted price.

Bought a Ping G425 5 wood and have to say, I love it. It’s my first Ping wood of any kind but when I’m ready for a driver, I will definitely be trying them out. Solid feel and sounds good when hitting it. The ball jumps off the club.

I agree. I'd put them ahead of the TP5 no question. Ahead of the Left Dash and Chrome Tour for value and equal as far as performance. Maxfli Tour X is equal performance wise, but a better value @ 4/dz-$99-$109. I'd play the Diamond in a tournament right now! No questions asked. Great ball.
