Wandered into Golfsmith on way home last night....I hit the Cobra King LTD, F6 & F6+.......

 

 

 

I liked the feel of the Cobra King LTD, but the numbers, after the misses were deleted, clearly show there is a tie between the King & the F6....the King is in orange data.

 

That said, I guess the F6 is the winner as it can be had for less dinero$$$.

Is your 3wd ok, do you hit that well or no, because you could always go outside the box and look for a strong 3wd, like 13*, or check out a mini driver, my thought was to look at putting a driver shaft in a strong 3, when I was struggling finding a driver I contemplated that often, but I couldnt find the right 3, the I hit my current gamer x2hot pro, and haven't looked back.

I've thought about it as well but I'd rather find a driver that I like and can feel confident in again. Really it was stupid of me to get rid of my G25 the way I was hithing it at the end of last year. Regardless, I'm excited to get to work with the M1 when it gets in. I hit the M1 3HL and really liked it. The regular 3 was just a little too long for the shots on my course where I'd be using it to stay short of trouble. So that will most likely be my next purchase when I can justify shelling out the $300 for it. I'd also like to add the 3H down the line.

Ordered a Graffalloy Prolite 35 tipped for my Bertha from Golfworks.

Trying to still lower that spin and get the ball down.

Playing the middle tees at my club for the second day in a row had me convinced that I had a hole in the top end of my bag. One of the par 3s is either a baby 3 iron or a ripped 5 iron. Although a 4 iron would be perfect. There are a two par 4s that into the wind a 4 iron is the go to club into the green. Was able to add the X Utility Proto 24* to the bag out of a used bag in a local shop. Has a KBS Tour S+ which should work nicely.

 

Bad side is the 64* wedge is now the odd man out.

Well, when I surveyed the offerings on ebay, I found a Cobra King LTD w/Adila Rogue reg shaft(same as what I hit at Gsmith....for $280.  since that was lower than the F6 and there was no F6 in that price range on ebay, I made the bid, then lost so I rebid at $290 and got it!

 

Knowing that this one is in the mail, I went out Sunday and knocked the Sh&% out of my Fly Z+......keeping it in the fairway with the stack Matrix shaft, getting 225-235 out of it. My Bio Cell only got me 195-205.

 

Guess my Drivers will have some competition shortly...

Bought and installed them a while ago, but finally got a chance to hit my KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 in X stiff, all wedges the same length and , holy schnikes are they sweet. i'd been having trouble dialing in a consistent distance and feel with the KBS wedge shaft in stiff flex as I was trying to make my own version of a hi-rev with a Soft step on lower flex ( I play X in everything now) and really notice the difference. 

 

Side note- the previous shafts are black nickel finish wedge shafts and are up for sale if anyone's interested

I'll update my Operation: Beat SLDR thread when I have more time, but another new driver on the way and on the monitor it looked very good.  Excited to get it out to the course.

 

Callaway Great Big Bertha 9 degree with a Fujikura Speeder Pro XLR8 63 in X-Stiff.  Picking up the shaft today or tomorrow and hopefully the head will be here Friday or Sat.

Won some pro shop credit in the 2 man scramble last weekend so I ordered an M1 5 wood with the Aldila Rogue Silver 70X. Wanted the 3HL but it's not available in LH so I'd rather go with the 5 and lower it to 17 with the face open than closing the face on the 3 wood. The shaft on the 5 wood is also an inch shorter which can't hurt.

Had our club order me the black/red Hyperflex with BOA and they came in yesterday. I can't believe I've been tying laces like a chump all this time.

 

So found a good deal on the blue/white with BOA and ordered those too. And yes I already have them with laces

Ordered a 20* bent to 19*.  Stoked to try it on the course.  MSRP is $169.  Not bad compared to the other option I was considering - the Titleist T-MB.  Will put a review up when I have used it enough.

Nice. My Hogans will come out of hiding in a few more weeks once my ball striking gets to where it needs to be.
