Played at Duckers Lake in Frankfort, KY yesterday and came very close to picking up some local stuff........but was able to keep from it at the last minute..........right now I am very proud of myself........no, wait a minute, I am angry because I passed up a chance for some great UK Wildcat golf stuff!

After my son's lesson this morning the asst pro wanted to measure him for clubs. Turns out the little guy's clubs were on average 4 inches short and now $600 later he has a new set of sticks. Got him the tour series US kids clubs and he will have his first full bag once the free gap wedge and lob wedge come in.

He likes them a lot. Did not realize how much he outgrew his old set until I saw him swing the new ones. Also his first true full set and not just a few clubs and a putter. Hopefully he gets more than a year out of them.

I had to get my son new clubs earlier this year as well. His were about 3 years old and he'd GROWN, 9yo now 5'. My mother's going to get a shock when she comes to visit at the end of the month...her young grandson is the same height as her.

Played at Kearney Hills so I got a new repair tool (switchblade with ball mark) and a Titleist Univ of Kentucky cap, to replace mine that has faded from sweat.....total cost was only $40

Picked up 2 Scor wedges today.  Good deal... same shaft and loft as my current clubs, so now I have backups/replacements.  I'll keep looking for more.

Update:  SCOR'ed another one!  Another 54*, mine is starting to get pretty worn on the sole from all those bunkers I keep finding.  

 

I've had my SCORs for over three years and they looked pretty good until this spring.  My old course had NO bunkers, but in the last 6 months at my new course, my 58* and 54* are showing wear from the sand.

Some might not consider it for golf, but just ordered a big jambox for "away" golf since the little jambox doesn't quite get to the volume I'm looking for after a few cocktails

  Turns out when I ordered my Cleveland 588 Hybrids through Dot.golf, they didn't actually have them in stock. So after 2 weeks of them trying to find them thru one of their local networks, they couldn't get them. 

  So I collected my refund and went ahead and bid on and won the deal on a brand new set of Hybrids and Irons by Adams on ebay. The New Idea Velocity's.  Set comes with the 3,4,5 Hybrid a 6 & 7 Hybrid-Iron and the 8,9 & Pw in cavity backs.  I also, picked up the matching 2 hybrid and a Gap wedge to go with them. Everything for about $300, not too bad I thought.

 

Anyway, they should be at the house waiting for me when I get home today and will be testing them out tomorrow.
