It is a 2016 and well out of warranty and most of the warranty it had I voided many years ago, unfortunately. Appreciate the reply and the advice. The car was modified quite a bit over the years so that is the main issue…never touched the drive shaft. I fortunately have a good friend that has a shop in PA that builds drag cars and he is ordering up something that will work for me. Funny you mention the CVJ…that is what failed and failed in epic fashion. The video I got today of it or what was left of it was interesting to say the least.

CVJ concerns are typically rare, unless a boot was damaged and the grease got out. Typically the center bearing assembly is the most common concern, and it is not a serviceable part.

My employer is the supplier of these shafts to Stellantis, so I have many years of experience with what works with them, and what doesn't.

We actually changed some of the Hellcat shaft components to those used in the Demon, when they launched that model, so your 2016 was prior to that time period.

Best of luck going forward, I daily drive a Charger Scat Pack. 👍

As a Commercial Insurance agent - I can't believe their insurance carrier hasn't made recommendations to protect the area.  I know I would have and the companies I represent would have!

Especially when she was parked right outside the front door. You can see the dorm entrance in the photo that shows the entire back window shattered. Eventually someone will get hurt if they don't do something.

Just had an incident at a local club where a lady tried to eat at the men’s grill. I see both sides, my brother in law actually a few years back got rid of a men’s grill at another club to expand family dining. I have no problem with boys being boys but the article made me 🤭

So I was on a car podcast.  My brother-in-law is a certified car nut and started a podcast; last week we went to a car show and then recorded a podcast with me as his guest.  Here's the link:

A neighbor and I went to the NCAA Women’s Regional golf tournament at UGA today. We were only there a few hours, but we saw some pretty good golf. I think we may have been the only spectators there just to watch. Everyone else watching seemed to have an association with a player.

The first group out and looking over the green towards the tee box on 13.

IMG_1895.JPG

IMG_1906.JPG

I volunteer for tournaments we host, and it’s always a lot of fun.  In Feb Mercer College played host for a women’s tournament here, then a few weeks ago we hosted the men’s Southern Conference tournament.

For the women’s tournament I was a spotter on a long uphill par 5 where the second shot is blind, so I’d often have to move to the middle of the fairway to hold back the next group until it was clear to hit.

So while moving in position, here comes 2 of the girls, one from Indiana Univ, and the other from Butler.  They had just met and they were talking about their majors and classes they were taking.  One commented how much she loved any class dealing with supply chain.  Then they both stepped up to their balls and hit great shots just 6’-8’ from the pin.  Then both thanked me for being there and helping as did many others and the coaches. The guys for their tournament were just as gracious, as were the coaches.

Part of me wants to make a stink. But the other part doesn’t want to jeopardize her standings. She is on the Presidents list for academics, on the track team and held in high regard and breaking school records. That also comes with a decent scholarship. She is saving me a lot of tuition. I wouldn’t want to ruffle to many feathers if you know what I mean.

But it is plain wrong not to have safety measures in place. What if it was someone walking into the dorm that got hit!

In todays college sports environment, perhaps she can cut a deal with the windshield repair company and for a NIL fee, do adds for the company.  Just being facetious but the incident likely is not the first time and the school should be concerned with safety as a ball could hit one of the students.  Then they would be liable.  Regardless of her status, I’d make a fuss.  Any retribution by the school would be an extremely bad look.

I have seen this firsthand at another well know club. Not going to call them out because I have been able to play there with a member on occasion. There is a men's only grill and a separate family dining and then a formal dining area which is suit and tie material. It is basically we make the rules and if you don't like it resign. I can't even guess what membership is there. Application by invitation only and someone usually has to pass on to the afterlife before there is an opening. I can deal with it because the course is phenomenal, and tour stop for majors. But it is way too snooty for my taste. No hats worn inside, no golf shoes except in the locker room, No changing shoes in the parking lot. You will be assigned a locker for the day, and you are escorted to your locker. You need a caddy or fore caddy. Your hat must be worn correctly on the course and your shirt must be tucked in.  You have to be on the list to get through the front gates, then there is a doorman to invite you into the clubhouse. Your clubs are unloaded then loaded back in your car at the end of your round after they clean them of course.

I just deal with it for the day.

Sounds too familiar in our small community. They have a MGA on Thursdays. (Men only) I was president/manager of a company and sponsored a Thursday 2X. Each time I was allowed to select the menu for dinner after, provide awards, etc; paying for all of it.  I was NOT allowed to attend in anyway, no golf, no dinner, no presentation of awards!  I had to have a fellow president/manager travel 1 1/2 hours to present the awards!  Gave up after 2 tries!  (By the way I was excepted into "the men's club" in our community)  I sponsors gun shoots, sports events etc for many other men's clubs and was included by these same men in those events- even sitting with them drinking long necks!  I hold no grudges but still find it archaic.  I have so many stories like this as men events are far to common here still today.

Yup, maybe not the same course but similar experiences.  Miss playing those courses but not the bull crap.  From what I’ve seen that attitude is changing but slowly.  I hated the jacket & tie for the main dining room but kept my mouth shut because usually with customers.

I would say it is course dependent. My home course when “closed for the season” allows play if weather permits. The carts, tee box markers, ball washers, rakes, etc… are stored for the season. The honor box fee s $20. The other local course, a par 62 only charges $15 to walk during the week in season.

I know that golf is a game for gentlemen and ladies.  If a course is on the honor system, then when you go play you should pay whether walking or riding n my opinion.  I played a course in Harris when visiting Stornoway, Scotland before and it was a 5 pound note to play.  Drop it in the box and enjoy.

I mentioned volunteering for some college tournaments and regarding the women’s event, during a lull one of the coaches came up to talk to me, asking about the area, etc.  Since it was an invitational, there were teams from a number of big (SEC, B1G, AAC, ACC, SOCON…) and small conferences. While talking, another coach approached and asked her how her conference was doing in finding a new host course for their Conference Championship.  She mentioned it looked like a course in Florida was being lined up. She said they were in the second year of their contract with Pinehurst and Pinehurst broke the contract, that they didn’t want ‘anything to do with them’.  Really sad to hear things like that.

The premise being there isn’t enough into it for the course to shut down for the better part of a week, logistical and maintenance issues, etc.

Sad that this still exists today. My wife and I play couples 18 on Saturdays and the guys at our Florida course are very welcoming and encouraged her to join the group once they found out she was a golfer.

I don't like strangers touching my clubs 🤨.  I'm with you,  that sounds way too stuffed shirt for me.  I'm fine playing at "blue collared courses/clubs".  I've played at a few hi-brow clubs as a guest and, while the courses and facilities were amazing, the vibe not so much.

Our Sun City Grand community/golf clubs are wide open except for the men and women golf leagues which, to the best of my knowledge, only have men or women playing in their respective league and attending the several banquets/member meetings. But they also have a couples, and 9-hole groups not to mention the many, many foursomes I see with men and women.  I joined a husband/wife and another single during my round yesterday.  Complete strangers and we had a great time.

My biggest challenge is remembering to stop at the red tee. Our WMGS members know what I'm talking about. I only missed one yesterday.  I apologized to Tammy and she replied, "no worries, it happens all the time" 🤣.

That’s funny, I could never remember to stop at the forward Tees.
