It's amazing how routine the procedure is today considering how morbid it sounds.  No pain whatsoever, and during the procedure you get to have your own private lava lamp show featuring Jefferson Airplane.  Worst part was keeping up with the correct eye drop schedule, had to write it down on paper it was so confusing.   I can see for miles and miles.

I guess the “The Who” was also involved.😁
Happy this procedure worked out for you guys.

Long story short: went to the eye doctor 2 weeks ago - he said my right eye was so bad that a. I wasn't legal to drive  and b. he was scheduling me for cataract surgery asap. Oh and I just bought a new car - so couldn't even drive it for the 2 weeks. Had the surgery yesterday, follow-up today. Everything was great so told my wife - I'm driving home (FYI she's been driving me around for the past 2 weeks). Cleared for golf in one week - but left eye is scheduled for the 18th - so that'll be another week without golf. .

Glad it went OK mate. What did you end up buying and is it replacing the Merc?

The Benz had 150K and 8 yrs old so we figured time to replace especially since we make several FL/OH trips a year. Did a LOT of research including consumer reports, drove a whole bunch of different brands and ended up with a Hyundai Tucson.  Interestingly last time we had the Benz serviced they gave us a GLB. Overall we thought the Tucson was peppier, better finished inside and out, reg vs premium gas and 15K less. Who knows if this one will make 150k but we're very satisfied right now.

EDIT: Forgot to mention we did end up getting the 'Limited" version which has all the bells and whistles including leather interior.

My BIL was the VP Sales for a company in Seattle and traveled all over the PNW before he retired a several years ago.  He had a Hyundai Santa Fe that he put 400K miles on it; still ran and looked good when he gave it up.  His wife passed away a few years ago, and he is now driving her Toyota Camry.

My other BIL who moved from here to Phoenix 5 years ago bought a Hyundai Tucson 6 years ago and he is still driving it in Phoenix with no issues.  I think you made a good choice.

Most of my confusion was the time between procedures when I was post-op dosing on one eye while, at the same time, pre-op dosing on the other, almost drove me to drinking.  Not sure if your Doc is the same but I'm glad I kept the Solar Shield glasses they gave after the first procedure and for the second eye because I went for a longer term check-up about 3 months later and he dilated my eyes, then a year later dilated again.  Still have those glasses as I assume from here on out I'll be entertaining Dr. Dilation on my visits.

Think mine was about one month of no lifting, straining, heavy activity, and of course, golf, not even air swings.

If a range ball travels 165 mph, would a decent ball( like a ProV1 or chrome soft, etc.) travel faster with the same swing and strike, or about the same? These are the things I think about when I am at the range.

The answer to your question was provided in the 2021 MGS Ball test: https://mygolfspy.com/buyers-guides/golf-balls/best-golf-balls-2021/

at the high swing speed the both the range and prov1 had 168 ball speed.  The range ball spun more, had higher peak height, but went a few yards shorter.  Basically off driver, the pinnacle range ball performed about the same as the prov1.  This teste probably used  a good/new range ball with good dimples.

Thanks for the words of support. I am hoping I can drum up participation over the course of the month, but it's amazing how little effort actually needs to be made to participate and earn entries for what I consider some great prizes (state park season passes, massage gun, gift certificates, AirPods). It's a common theme for people to complain about what is offered to them if it doesn't fit EXACTLY what works for them. More often than not it's the same ones doing the complaining, too, so I take it for what it is. Still bothers me though haha.

Unfortunately we always see the complainers and while you didn’t get the response you wanted my try to ignore the complainers they really add no value.

Maybe some creative mischief can boost participation, rumor style like "hey did you hear there's hidden prize money in the payoff for a couple of the bingo tickets just nobody knows how much or for which ones" or something cheesy like "did you hear that management is looking to see who's not participating, no idea why they would be interested in that but..." all rumor of course based on nothing as all rumors are 😇  of course I would never suggest doing anything like that though I do know people who love to instigate.

Airing some work grievances this morning to vent some frustration. I am the employee health and wellness coordinator at a community hospital in my town, and part of my job, as you'd assume, is to try and provide employees with opportunities to improve their health. One of my primary and most important roles is coordinating annual HRA/Biometric screenings. This provides our employees with an outlook and clear picture of their overall health. Based on aggregate data results, I then try to customize health and fitness related challenges and monthly education topics to fit the areas of most needed improvement (prediabetes, high blood pressure, etc.).

May is Global Employee Health & Fitness month, and myself and our wellness committee came up with what I thought would be a cool challenge called Wellness BINGO, where a bingo card is created with different activities you can do to earn "tickets" into raffle prize drawings at the end of the month. Things like getting 10k steps in a day, eating a salad with a meal, attending a free exercise class we offer on-site, etc. Out of 600+ employees, I had 17 bingo cards turned in. SEVENTEEN! But throughout the year, I'll hear complaints that certain challenges are too hard to perform or participate in, or this reason or that reason why something is unfair. It's super frustrating to put a lot of work into things for our employee base to have no one participate.

Thanks for listening to my rant, not sure if this was an appropriate thread to post it in but I needed to vent this morning 😂

My employer did exercise bingo last year and it went over really well. I stay pretty active anyways but it was still cool to participate. Lots of great prizes and the challenges ranged from things people do everyday to things that people had to commit time to daily for the month. I went all in on it and ended up with one of the top prizes of a Theragun Prime massage gun. Can’t complain about a free massage gun that I use all the time.

Stay encouraged, Jason. I think it's a good thing you're doing and if people want to complain, then they don't know what they're missing out on. I feel like some people are only happy when they're complaining. I don't get it, I much prefer to be happy and see others around me happy.

Where do I sign up? Those sound like some amazing prizes and I think a massage gun would be wonderful!
