Two days into the new gig and could not be happier. Being away from my family sucks but the company apparently needed me and it is showing. I turned what used to be a four hour meeting under my predecessor into half an hour today. I like to just make decisions and move on.

It is in the Catskills in NY. The resort is renovating and redesigning The Monster.

I received an email a week ago or so from Edel golf that I was invited to attend the “Merry Texas Shop and Shindig”. Lo-and-behold, it was on a night I was going to be in Austin! Sweet! I registered online for the ticket, and went tonight.

 

It was food and drink out back of the Criquet Shirt store. They had about 10 local merchants showing/selling their stuff, including Edel Golf. I purposely wore my Edel branded Criquet shirt and the guys from Edel noticed! Great guys! Talked for quite a bit about my clubs, and they invited me to stop-by tomorrow on my way out of town. Just before I left, the guy that designs the wedges gave me two hats in thanks for being a loyal supporter of the brand.

Very cool! A nice birthday present!!!

Snowed up there everyday this week. Guess we got 8-10 inches combined. I am about an hour and 45 north of Scranton and close to two hours north of where I grew up. Won't have golf up there until middle of 2019 based on the amount of work we are doing. I just joined a local club up there for the next year so I have somewhere to play M-F.

Spending last three days here in the beautiful south west just traveling.Such a beautiful area of the country . Great courses /great views / good people and good times .Coming back here again very soon.Made some golfing buddies as well that will keep in contact with.Highly recommend a extended vacation to this area to see the great sights.An week and half was perfect.

Glad you had a great time and met some golf buddies.  It's always nice to do that.  My wife and I love the southwest.  If I could get her to retire, we might move there.  We spent 2 weeks in Phoenix last February, and next month we head to Palm Springs for 2 weeks.  

 

We haven't decided where to go next winter, but Tucson, Texas, and Hawaii are on the list.

I agree Kenny B. So far the Southwest is on my retirement radar.Next time out I'm going to focus on the extreme southern areas.Heard there are some amazing natural formations to see.The golf was really great here and people.And the people you meet have more influence of one returning than the golf itself

Camels are nice but be sure to get an up close and personal shot with roos! In my case it was wallaby's (smaller version of roos)
