So I'll start this one early this time...

 

Who are your favorites to take this one leading up to the Open and why?

 

I'll start (and I'm usually pretty bad picking these...)

 

I say Brandt Snedeker. He has been on the cusp these last couple of tournies and I think he's playing some pretty good golf right now. As for the defending champ, a one Mr. DeChambeau, my guess is that he'll be mind-screwed with the latest blow from the USGA.

I'll actually take DeChambeau. I bet he come out with fire to show the USGA that they can make any crazy ruling they want he can still win.

Ahh the 5th major... I'll take Bryson and ZJ if he's playing. If not give me Burger or even Stricker for a lock top 20... I haven't looked at the field though so take this with a grain of salt. Lol

I'm thinking it's more like: "I had to show up bc I'm the defending champ but I want my Open prep so my shoulder is suddenly sore and I'm going flying to Carnoustie and WD."

Lee played multiple ball types on Friday and self-reported it, was going to MC anyways. Anyone know what David Berganio Jr did to get DQ'd?

OK, help me out here.  I'm admittedly not fluent with all the USGA rules.  So you're not allowed to play multiple ball types during a round? If that's the case, I'd be perpetually DQ'd.

That link keeps showing website unavailable, but I looked it up.  Sounds like many tour events use the "One Ball Rule".  So a player is forced to pick one particular manufacture and model of ball for the whole round - lose a ProV1 in the water, replace with same?This seems kind of odd to me. II'll add it to my list of rules to change.

Wow -27!  Michael Kim experiencing an "in the zone" tournament.  Quite a contrast to the U.S. Open leader board.

M. Kim lapped the field, not bad for the first win, he played really well.

 

And how about the kid at the Scottish open with his first win final round 60.
