Honest question. How do you watch with the annoying music in the background? I finally had to stop watching after a couple hours. The going back and forth from views that are too far away to pick up the concert (or whatever is going on) to the cameras that are closer to the main venue. Every time the muffled music comes on it’s just annoying to endure. I really want to watch the golf but don’t want to hear the bad audio of muffled music. To be clear, I’m not complaining that there is music, just that the audio is really bad due to it being so far off in the distance. And then cutting back and forth from no music to music and back. It doesn’t work for me. Is every broadcast like this?

Yes, the music has been part of the venue since the start.  On a few holes the background music seems louder than usual but otherwise I don't find it bothersome.

I guess it isn’t the music that I’m bothered by but rather than the cutting in and out where it’s there one hole and not the next.

Agree, some holes you don't hear it at all and others quite pronounced.  Probably just course layout.  I wonder if the field gets to make input on the playlist?  Most of what I hear is nothing I listen to.

I like the graphics, but the in and out of the music is distracting to me

Excessive blathering by event sponsor suits is distracting to me too... I'll take the music .

Rahm is looking like a consistent favorite in the liv format. I think it will be interesting to see how he preforms under more laid back conditions.

I was at Mayakoba today, just got back to the resort actually. I have some interesting thoughts and experiences from it. I’m pretty wiped and don’t want to write a massive long thing, but if you have questions fire them my way. I plan on doing a big write up “unofficial review”, and possibly a 1st time guide for anyone thinking of going

I watched the final round of LIV golf yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed the telecast and thought it was some excellent golf. Even liked the team golf.

I agree, it was really refreshing to have it back on.  Watching all the captains step up was great.

I threw a full length review in unofficial reviews, but we walked the course and saw as much as we could. Followed 4 different groups for the most part. Really enjoyed just seeing the guys golf, and their processes. It’s really cool to see what these guys do differently and if there are small things we can learn from them. Brandon Grace’s caddie was also an absolute beauty. He was awesome to interact with

that is what I like about watching the best, I will have to check out your review...are you back in Penticton now?

If a merger ever happens with the PGA and DPWTour(s) and there is a reasonable way back for LIV players to participate on the PGA/DPWTours, I wonder how many are going to act like JT and Rickie Fowler toward the LIV players because as long as they are putting out harsh statements, there might be a lot of cold locker rooms in the near future.

Well, the 4 Aces early dominance has certainly been throttled a bit with each successive acquisition and creation of new teams.  I really think the team aspect of LIV's format is going to become increasingly more heated and exciting.

I had a friend that was a member of a prestigious club in NJ , played every major course including Augusta , attended the LIV event in Orlando and said it was great experience, everybody there was having a ball and he really came away impressed with the whole production. His club was one that still requires a jacket to have dinner , so I guess it appeals to many different genres

I think the in person experience is far different than the TV experience. My production critique is only about the amount of dead air during the broadcast and the what seems like a lower budget all around production of the telecast. The muffled music in the background doesn’t work for me as a TV viewer. I tune in to watch the sport and the players. The concert going on, or the DJ/music blasting, what seems like way off in the distance doesn’t enhance the viewing experience for me from my couch. If I had a chance to go to an event I would do it in a heartbeat. I’m sure the music experience is different if you were there and half a mile away from the concert or whatever it is. Having been to multiple tournaments live already on the Senior PGAT and Korn Ferry Tour, I’d like to see how LIV compares overall.

I tuned into the LIV tourney last weekend (since the PGA was dealing with nasty weather at Pebble Beach) and thought it showed some great golf.  However, someone needs to take the controls away from the drone person.  I almost got motion sickness when watching the hole previews.  Do they need to fly 100mph down the fairway and end with several 360s around the green?  Even David Feherty commented on it.

Well I’m just the opposite as I detest watching the same 3 groups for 4+ hours but the rest of the field has little value whereas with the team aspect every group has people that matter but that’s my own view

Understood, I attended the Memorial as a patron badge holder for years and enjoyed the first two rounds the best as everyone was still in it , attended Ryder Cup , Presidents Cup , Solheim Cup so I too would like to check out the live LIV , perhaps I will if it comes close again . I have a couple friends that go Bay Hill with their wives and want us to attend but  after all the ones I’ve attended  a day at a tournament is lower on my list must be getting old !

I do like that LIV shows more people aside from the top four groups. Just hope they get better production as the season goes on. Really curious to see how the Las Vegas event goes.

seeing pat perez in person last week at Mayakoba, dudes a snap show hahahaha I started filming because it was so funny. So many excuses, I have no doubt Vegas may be an issue
