Morning All,

yesterday was wonderful, spent it out on the lake of the Ozarks on my uncle’s boat. Today is just prepping to head back. My dad is heading back out for his truck route so the time visiting with him has come to an end. It was a good visit, with more to come. And hopefully meeting more of that side of the family. Hope everyone has a great day.

Happy Monday all!

Spring baseball is now over, we had our field day fun for younger kids and the older kids had a home-run derby.  So now I'm down to coaching just 1 team for another few weeks of Summer Ball and then hopefully I'll be able to catchup on my golfing! 

It was a fun year for in-town ball, but I'm ready for a bit of a break and some more time on the course.

Life is slowing down for now, and im gearing up for some awesome golf over the next 4 months. Got a planned outings over these months. School is slowing down a well which means, i should be on here again. Thanks for yall's support. Remember, BE THE BLESSING!

Good Monday morning to everyone. Trying to stay positive even though the work day has begun. I'm using a vacation day tomorrow to celebrate my oldest turning 10. When did I get so old and how is she 10 already?! Yesterday she baked some pumpkin brownies and I attempted to help by making a pumpkin salted caramel to put over the top of them. We ended up driving out to my wife's work and leaving them with her to share with her co-workers. I don't need that amount of sugar in my house. It looks like it should be a peaceful work day for me, but things can go sideways quickly in my line of work, so I'm not holding out much hope. The office A/C has been having trouble keeping up with the heat we are currently getting here so by the afternoon my office usually sitting around 85 degrees. That's usually my sign to wrap up anything that can't be done from literally anywhere else.

You could do a wedges fitting with them, but off the top of my head I don’t know how PXG does grind and bounce so you might have to do some correlation between what other OEMs offer.

Oh that reminds me of another event from my overly-complicated weekend. Noted in mid-afternoon Sunday that the temp inside the Casa was pushing 80 degrees. Looked at the thermostat and it somehow said "hold", meaning it wasn't going to cool until the hold disappeared. Poked around and found that ithe thermostat was programmed to shut off for several hours on Sunday afternoons; that had to be left over from before we moved in 12+ months ago, because I haven't screwed around with the thermostat since then (why it took 12 months to notice that, I have no idea). Fixed the programming and it still wasn't cooling. Went outside and the central unit wasn't on. Deduced that was probably a circuit breaker issue, and it was. After resetting the breaker, finally began to get some cold air. It took a while to get down from 79 to where we wanted it, but it finally got there.

Good morning all from a sunny Wisconsin Monday morning! Kids are at my mom and dads for the day, night, and day tomorrow, so going on a date night with my wife tonight. Really looking forward to it. Thinking we are going to go to one of our favorite supper clubs for old fashioneds and steak. Then just a relaxing night at home afterwards, should be a great reset.

Golf league tomorrow night with @JJBack and I just have a feeling it's gonna start clicking more consistently this week , then playing Wild Rock in Wisconsin Dells on Wednesday with two of my former basketball players and an assistant coach that I was on staff with. That one is going to be really fun. With all the rain we've gotten, the course is going to be looking great and I've never played it before. Will be a really fun time.

According to PXG website, their Sugar Daddy milled wedges have two different sole configurations: BP grind for lush turf and deep bunkers, and C grind with moderate bounces for tighter lies. BP is 13 degrees bounce, C is 10. Their forged wedges have one sole design, with bounce of 12 or 9 degrees depending on the wedge loft.

Oh, Mom went home this morning. Specific source of bleeding not identified, at least to Dad. Other surgery-possible problem referred to her family doctor for monitoring.

On a lighter note, started officially packing for Scotland today since my gamer suitcase won't be needed for the one-night trip to Baltimore this weekend. Have to be selective for a carry-on suitcase for a 10-day trip; fortunately there is a washing machine in the cottage where I'm staying so I can pack for five days and wash stuff.

No golf this past weekend, but spent plenty of time hitting my foam balls over the yard. Mostly just chilled all weekend with the fam and friends. Tomorrow I fly out early to Orlando and then an afternoon tee time with the boss. Drinking lots of water starting now, and hoping the rain doesn't ruin our round. I know, foolish thinking on my part.

Anywho, back to the grind!

Good afternoon Spies!

Checking in a bit later today after finishing our trip to Arcadia Bluffs this weekend. We played the North Course yesterday and the South Course this morning. The North Course might be my favorite course I’ve ever played. Absolutely gorgeous and I played one of my best rounds of the year!

The South Course didn’t have the scenic views, but the course was immaculate and played super tough. Didn’t play as well today given some very tough pin positions and steep bunkers, but I can’t complain. Incredible trip all around and will definitely be coming back again in the future. 

Will have some pictures and videos to post later once I get settled back home. Hope everyone is having a great Monday so far!

LOL that might be an adventure I don't want to embark on. Gonna leave it at home but will definitely be giving it a go in July!

morning (afternoon) all...

joined my in-laws (early and mid 80's) for a tour of an assisted living facility near us this morning. they live in NJ and are [finally] realizing that it's time to move to a smaller place with more amenities. the place we visited was top notch -- so much so that there's a waiting list. we're hoping they move forward but they have lived in their home since 1977 so it will be a big big change for them.

working at the US Senior Open at Newport Country club Thurs-Sat and it looks like I will be a "spotter" for NBC ? anyhow - I'm looking forward to doing it and if anyone has even been a spotter I would love to hear about your experience.

Not sure I'll have time for any golf this week - maybe Sunday.

There's also a product called Affresh which helps (there's also one for the washing machine). White wine vinegar is always a good kitchen cleaner!

But yeah the "smart" appliances are high maintenance - once a month I clean the washer, vacuum out the dryer exhaust port, and clean the coffee machine. Dishwasher only gets an occasional clean cycle (probably due). And then there's the ovens ....

Morning/Evening all, 

Got back yesterday from a golf weekend up on the Central Coast here by Sydney. Was great to get out with a group of friends we all used to work together - we took in two courses about an hour and a half outside of Sydney and had a cracking time. Only 6 of us this time but I have a feeling there will be more next as even the lads who don't play regularly enjoyed it even if we played a very tricky course on the Saturday. There was lots of water and a fair few lost balls but everyone came away laughing from it all. Chuffed to have won nearest pin on an island green and score for the back 9. Back to the house and a BBQ and poker in the evening as well as a fair few beers and whisky made for a slower paced round the next day for a scramble event and taking it a bit easy before the drive home. 

I'd certainly forgotten how good a weekend away with mates is as been a while. It took some organising but the group are already looking into the next one so the ones with kids can have plenty of time to get the wives on board!

I was a spotter for college football many, many moons ago. I recall one set of announcers giving me grief on the air because my school was getting its butt kicked and my face betrayed my disappointment. But my job was to quickly recognize who was carrying the ball, or made the catch, or made a tackle, and point that out on a giant roster. Also occasionally handed notes to one of the announcers. I'm guessing a spotter in golf would have a similar task, know who is about to make their swing and point that out to the hole announcer.

Also did a lot of stats for televised sports, which was its own set of challenges. I learned to do math very quickly in my head because it was faster than punching up keys on a calculator.

Good morning spies. Another lovely start to the day weather wise here but also another duty day. 
Managed to play 18 yesterday after work. Played ok but it was a bit of a hit and miss round. Driver and short game was poor but approach game was great with the new Cobra FT irons performing really well and the Runner putter still doing its job. 
Not sure if I’ll get out today or not as we have a state visit from the Emperor and Empress of Japan so lots of escort work for me. Not the greatest when it’s warm in full bike gear but it’s part of the job I really enjoy.

Good morning spies. Looks like another hot one today with the heat index going to 102° this afternoon. Add in all of the humidity that goes with that and that is a no golf afternoon for me. That should give me time to get a couple of small projects completed.

Good morning Guys. I got the forms pulled on the sidewalk project I did last Friday for my wife. They turned out okay but I would have liked to finish them up a bit more but it was hot and they were settling rapidly. The boss (wife) seems happy with them so that is the most important thing. 

I got out for 9 holes last night. I shot 6 over with a triple bogey that was just a disaster of a hole for me. The ball was carrying crazy long with my longest drive of 313 into the wind. A nice low stinger and with it being so dry out it just rolled forever. I will be out after work today to play at least 18. Probably more if it isn't too busy.

Good morning all, well looks like we are getting a break from the 90 degree heat for a little while. Next two days we play in the morning so it will be more comfortable to play. It's only June and we're getting Temps in the 90s I hate to think what July and August are going to be like. Play well everyone.

Good morning Spies on a currently cloudy, but soon to be rainy Michigan.

Had a busy day yesterday, managed to get the items packed away from the weekend, play a round of golf, and then go out with SWMBO for her birthday in the evening/night.

Honestly, a quiet day for me would be perfect about now.

Will work on my posts for the Virtual Tour, and review of the Motocaddy and get them up later today.

The Motocaddy for me has been exceptional, and a real pleasure to use while walking the courses I have played with it.

Hope that you have a great day @Northern Monkey, and a pretty neat thing to do with the other dignitaries in town.

Hope the rest of you all have the best day you possibly can, and that something fun and enjoyable is in your plans.
