Am an older, 74, golfer losing distance.  Especially in my mid / long clubs.  The cure to this problem is obvious.  Buy a new set of clubs.  So I’m doing my due diligence when it occurred to me that what I needed was a game improvement set.  Eureka, I had an old set of Mizuno MX 100 in the basement.  Great, with the money I just saved from not buying a new set I can put towards golf balls, or lessons.  Naw, more balls.

Another disappointing round. Never played this course before. Hot and humid today. ( I don’t like hot & humid) At least I only had two 3 putts but that may be more because of a lacking GIR stat. The greens were fairly fast and didn’t break as much as it looks. Too many double and triple bogeys.

Ok, don't look at tee accuracy, I stopped paying attention to that after the turn.  I think I maybe hit half on the back nine.  10 was a hit, as was 11.  12 went over the green by 30 yards, also not sure why I marked sand on that one.  13 hit, 14 was all in regulation, 15 went left, 16 was in the water for a drop.  17 was ok, but 18 was left again.  So 5 of the 7 and none of the threes.  So, not bad.

The back nine on this course is the harder side with ball eaters.  I usually lose five balls on this course, but this time only three.  Two went in to the water, one just didn't want to be found.

Short game got me on this one.  I easily messed up seven to nine shots that should have got me on the green, but instead fell short or went way over.   

Putting was awesome with the Garsen ULTIMATE.  Really finding a groove with this grip.  Messed up by not warming up and rushing the first hole which punished me with a 5 putt.  However, I recovered and didn't get over two the whole rest of the round!  First time ever, I usually three putt at least four times.  This is what I get showing up to the course eight minutes before tee time!

Pretty good day on the greens, and a good round in general on a wet golf course.  We had a rain delay on #4 tee box.  And I promptly bogeyed that par 5 after sitting around for 20 minutes.  I will chalk that up to old age and not properly stretching again before the restart.

The real  story is I had a chance to Eagle every par 5 and drove over a 327 yard par 4. This was good round considering I also had one double. Very happy with the Callaway Paradym irons and TD driver.

Well gang, today was one to remember. I shot my lowest round to date! An 81 with a 38 on the front! I’ll be honest the idea of shooting a 79 out some pressure on me towards the last 4/5 holes but ultimately I’m not mad at the 81. 
my putter still isn’t where I need it to be but I hit my wedges much better today. My driver didn’t crush today (longest drive 305, only over 300) but I only missed 2 fairways (12 opportunities) with it and that’s not too common! Super stoked!

I’ve played better, I’ve played worse. A thoroughly average round. Everything was just okay, the 2 double bogies could easily have been pars. The damnable misery of this game. On a brighter note, I tied my low putts for a round with 30. The combination of a Odyssey Tour Line Eleven and a Garsen Ultimate grip is proving to be formidable. The more I play it, the more I like it.

Played in a member-guest tournament.  Played as a 6 handicap and shot 6 over par.  Extremely happy with that result considering the greens were like concrete compared to my normal public course.

Wildest round in a long time... jumped out of the truck, hit the first tee, proceeded to stripe the drive, stuck the approach to 12', and sank the birdie putt. My driver was a mess most of the round, only hit 4 fairways off the tee, but chipped in 2x from 10 & 15 yards and holed out from a bunker on a par 3. This is a moderately narrow course with heavy trees lining the fairways on every tee shot, I scrambled my way out of the forest all day. This was definitely one to remember.

Today was a good day.  The back nine at the Creek is always more challenging for me.  It is also a tougher walk with a lot of elevation changes, so I'm pretty tired by the end. But this week I've posted a couple 84s, an 80 and 82; all with a back half collapse - and while the card looks like it was imminent they were all really close to par saves - and I kept it together with a 3 footer at the end knowing what it meant.  As much as anything, keeping a double off the card makes all the difference.
