What putters does everyone use?

Hello all!

I wanted to start this to just talk about putters. This seemed like the perfect place. I myself have gad probably 15 over the last 5 years. I find myself being a putter snob. I really enjoy old generation Scottys before they added removable weights. Those have the best feel to me and they are milled from one solid piece. Old Studio Designs were the best. I'm not into collecting I like to game everything. I am currently gaming a 2019 Copper Spider X. It was one of those putters I always liked the feel but never bought one situations. It took me a while to find one not chipped and scratched up but it is working out well for me.

Currently gaming an Oddysey Strokabs One, really like the balance on it and I get good feedback from it even though it’s soft off the face insert.

I just ordered a LAB DF2.1 and can't wait to get it.  Being a lefty, it has always been a challenge to find what I like.  Using a SC currently but favorite putter was the Doc17 center shafted putter.

My backyard shed is full of putters I've tried, liked and then abandoned me!  Everything from mainstream (Oddysey two ball...a couple of them actually) to somewhat obscure (a first-generation Brainstorm mallet Happy Putter).  I have to say, my favorite is my current gamer:  LAB Directed Force 2.1!  My putting improved dramatically (almost two strokes gained per round) and I'm more confident when I get on the greens.   I liked it so much I actually bought a backup on eBay just in case something happened to the one in my bag!

Currently use a Odyseyy EXO Indianapolis putter. Not gonna lie I was new into golf, the guy let me use it for a round and the way it played and the price he was asking for what the value was, I had to pull the trigger. Now with more experience I looking for something a different, its still a great putter but its a little  too soft off the face that I would like.

Been playing for about 2 years in total. Winter breaks and a 6month period when I got sick. Starting to feel like myself again and recently played a “okay” round.
I currently have custom fit Cobra LTDx irons/wedges, a Vokey 60(cause my short game has been the best part of my game, and a Maverick 9 deg. Driver. Driving is the worst part of my game so My 4 iron usually takes alot of the long game abuse.

Hi - am using a L.A.B putter - DF 2.1 for the last two years amd it has been a game changer - did get a lot of negative responses from fellow players, specially on the looks but I persisted with it and it has made a huge improvement to my putting

Would highly recommend it even though it cost quite a bit

Just switched from a Dunlop DDH blade I have had for 20+ years to an Odyssey 7 Nano stroke lab. First time out with it and hit a 20+ ft birdie putt! Love the feel and alignment line being on the top of the putter. Let's hope it continues with the good putts

I see alot of people saying the LAB DF 2.1. I really think that's a ugly putter but hearing how much it has helped you all I may give it a shot and see. I would love to see a couple strokes gained if a ugly putter does that I'm all for it.

I got a Sik DW 2.0 C series (DW = double wide) with a double bend shaft at Christmas and since swapping out the grip for a Ping Blackout (PP58 I think) standard size pistol grip, I have gotten even better with it. It's a rare round that includes any 3 putts these days, and I usually end up with a lot of 1 putts.

Scotty Select Squareback 2 with 30g head weights and a SuperStroke 5.0 grip. Cut down to about 33" My putting has improved a ton since I added the heavier weights. Still needs some work, but is no longer my weakest link.

PXG Bat Attack with the M16 shaft. Really liked it at first, but I’m increasingly thrown off by the weight and how soft it is. Too expensive to justify picking up others to rotate though, so…just have to grind I guess.

Scotty Phantom X 5.5 - I like the look of a mallet on address, but the .5 comes with a flow neck that fits my slight arc stroke a bit better.  Feel is off the charts - not sure it will ever leave my bag (although I’m monitoring the Lab putters…just in case 😂).

Odyssey sabre tooth shortened 1 inch with a super stroke slim 1.0 grip. I wanted the heavy version but it was sold out so I put lead tape behind the face, it's the best putter I've ever owned, the putts go where I am aiming. It needs a new grip but I am afraid to change it so I wrapped it with grip tape that is used for tennis racquets.

Ping Kushin 4 with SS flatso 1.0 grip. Just played a round with 29 putts. It has the soft insert but the weight and balance along with the grip are perfect for me. Feel like I will make everything inside of 10 feet

I have a Cleveland Huntington Beach as well.
Had a Scotty phantom 8 months ago and I wanted to like it but just couldn’t. Had no feel to me.

Currently using a Taylor Made Spider Tour.  Prior to that for many years was a Ping Anser 2i…was doing well with it but then couldn’t start anything on line, so switched over to the TM and felt much more confident on the greens.

Currently playing a Spider ex platinum. I like the alignment and forgiveness of it but don’t always love the feel off of the face. I used to play a Newport 2 but found the face too soft. I struggle getting putts to the hole so I like the feel of something a bit firmer

I am using a Ping Heppler Fetch that i was chosen to test a couple years ago.  Between the putter, stroke adjustments and practice as a result of the testing my putting improved.  Once in a while i break out the vintage Anser but only for a round then the Heppler goes back in the bag.

I have a Bettinardi BB1 and really like it but it is a little lighter than I would like. I struggle with really long putts. Might be looking at putters in the off season.

After playing an Evnroll ER2 (original model) putter for about 5 or 6 years, I was custom-fitted at Makefield Putters and now play one of their V-S model putters at 34” long, 67* lie angle (much flatter than I thought that I needed). It took me a while to adjust to the Makefield VS, due to its heavier weight and flatter lie angle, I believe, and I had some horrible putting rounds with it on my Myrtle Beach trip this April-May, including one 42-putt round.  However, I am now putting very well with it and I have slowly grown to love the weight and feel of that putter.  The loft of the Makefield putter is only 1.8 degrees and I cannot forward press as much as I was doing prior to owning this putter, but it gets the ball rolling quickly and not “skipping” on the green before it begins to roll.  In addition, the super-heavy weight and extreme heel and toe weighting of the Makefield VS allow for a smoother and shorter stroke, which has helped with my accuracy, once I became more comfortable with these features.

https://makefieldputters.com/products/Makefield-V-S-Putter-p453584494

Mine has the black double-bend shaft and a custom Sweet Rollz “O’Malley” grip on it, and the weights are set with heavy tungsten weights in the front and rear positions in the heel and toe “wings”, a lightweight aluminum weight toward the face in the center port and a very heavy tungsten weight at the extreme rear center position.
