Well... you guys are AWESOME!!

We crested the target of 40 participants, and are pushing 50 currently!  That creates some logistical questions on how to ultimately structure the teams and divisions... but WHAT A GREAT PROBLEM TO HAVE!!!!  

I will definitely owe @Golf2Much big time after this event!!  I really appreciate your support Norm!  

We will be naming the Captains tomorrow, so everyone watch this thread and possibly your DM's so you can lock in to your Captain and Team.

This sounds awesome! I just can't guarantee that I can get an 18 hole round in. I can almost guarantee 1 or 2 9 hole rounds for 5 weeks. I almost only play 9 hole rounds and can sometimes get 2 in a weekend. If needed, I could push to do 2 with the boss....

Will do thank you.  The 100+ degree weather you guys have been having seems like it might be a consideration, even for guys like me who have a, the hotter the better, mindset.  Next time I have a trip planned I'll make sure I have at least one Saturday in the schedule and that I give you advance notice.  Same goes if you find yourself in my neck of the woods.

With all the interest for this event... It looks like we are needing to expand the event.  

That is positive and negative... 

The positive is.... we will need a few more Captains!!!  If you would like to helm a team of players into the tourney... click on the poll above (if you previously chose 'no' you should be able to update your answer.  

The negative is... the numbers aren't as clean to make it a true Forum Membership vs. Forum Staff Divisional matchup.  We are working hard to come up with the best solution based on the number of players... but we will still have some great rivalries through the event.  

We are leaning toward 3 weeks of matches then 2 weeks of playoffs. - which would guarantee all players at least 3 matches plus potential playoff rounds.. but don't hold me to that... the brilliant mind of @Golf2Muchis hard at work to work through all the options with me. 

Lastly, but certainly not Leastly  Thanks to ALL of you for your support of the VCT and the VCT Match Play!!!

Honestly... it is mostly pride and bragging rights  

Organize 3 other players for the team - but we can help with those assignments

Submit your 2 player teams prior to the week of play so we can match them against another team

and honestly... that is about it.

This looks so fun.  Wish I could commit to being able to play enough over the next few weeks, but work and family are interfering.

@GolfSpy TCB I would love to participate but I'm not sure if i can get a round in every week. However I do have a golf trip sept 22nd through the 24th. Is it possible for me to still participate and use the rounds from the golf trip for my future weeks of the event? 

For example

Fri round  used for Week of Sept 22nd competition

Sat round used for Week of 29th competition

Sun round used Week Oct 7th competition

ZM...I'm sure I don't know what you are talking about... nor did I read that your rounds will be played during one fabulous weekend golf trip.  

Seriously, as long as you keep the rounds to yourself until the week you need them (so there can be no "massaging" of the teams and competition), I think an exception can be made.  

The other consideration is.... It looks like Week 4 and 5 will be the playoff weeks...so there is no guarantee that you will be playing those weeks....  

You all know my mantra... inclusion, not exclusion  

The bigger question is...where are you going ?

This looks like a lotta fun!  The good news is my sched has allowed more time for golf in recent weeks so i am signed up!    The bad news is my handicap has dropped since the aches and pains have subsided so i wont be getting many strokes!!
