Haywood CB/MB Irons - 2024 Forum Review

I bought the MB and CB when they first released thinking I would combo them. The 4 MB was so good I bought a 3.  

 

Of all the blades I've ever played, the Haywood MB is one of the best.

Have to appreciate how great of testers we have. Unfortunately life gets in the way for some and that means we have to pivot. Thank you to @Lefty11 for being upfront with us and telling us that you won't be able to make it work and offering to provide another member with this awesome opportunity.

My question is probably premature, and is more than likely a longer term one, but i am interested in the durability of both the head finish and the faces/grooves. Ive read/seen some issies with other DTC clubs in this regard.   Also excited to see how they perform for everyone, and if they are an improvement over your current clubs and for what reasons. Thanks

Hello everyone…full “who I am” coming soon, but I wanted to share the feeling of seeing the MGS Email in my inbox yesterday.

I opened it up, read it, put my phone down and stared into the void for a solid 3 minutes, picked my phone back up, re-read it, and then danced around my kitchen for a solid 5 minutes. 
 

Since then, I’ve danced multiple additional times, shared a huge squee and high 5 with my wife and kids, gotten baseline numbers with my gamer 7-iron (as requested) and am awaiting next steps.

I do look forward to sharing this journey with everyone!!!

So unbelievably gracious and excited to have been the “alternate” for this test. 
 

Whoever and wherever you are @Lefty11, I owe you a steak dinner. Sorry you weren’t able to continue, but thank you for allowing me to have the opportunity.

Fellow spies: this is my first official test (though I’ve always been an equipment dabbler at heart) and I promise to give y’all my very best to capture what these irons look like, feel like and perform like. Feel free to ask any questions along the way…

No clue how the finish will hold up, but I’ll do before and after pics during the testing timeframe to give you some idea.

The durability question is a big one and it will be an on going focus for the duration of the test and into the future. 

The performance side will be interesting. Compared to my current gamers these have a lot less tech in them so if they can keep up I will be very impressed. Where I'm expecting gains is in feel and maybe playability.
