That's the goal anyways!

It’s an attainable goal. Then the next one is to be able to post a score even when things are broken.

35.3/126, one natural birdie, long drive 292. Natural birdie came on a hole where I would also net a birdie; would also have had two other net birdies.

I’ve been on a really good run. Everything but my driver is clicking, and my driver is still not awful. I had one bad hole today, with two penalty strokes leading to a double bogey. Still plenty to work on, too.

Gained over six strokes on a 10 HCP:

This might be the first time I posted positive SG for approach shots.

We had more rain today, which made conditions thick. Shots were not going as far as usual, but that’s okay.

Shorter course but doesn't matter how long a course is with 20 mph sustained winds. A couple mental errors and chipping wasn't bad but put a lot of pressure on the putter. Thankfully a good day lag putting

This round was so much fun. There were a lot of dumb mistakes (2 three putts being the biggest), but I tried to come back as much as I could. I felt like my game was in a bad place since the last men's league tourney, so I took a week off from playing and focused on practicing some solid things, i.e., chipping, putting, and Tee shots. This week's round was an attempt at testing two different golf balls. The Vice Pro + and the TP5. I love both, but I want to conclude either one.

Favorite moments:

  • Hole 5, on the first day with the Vice Pro + I hit one of the best wedge approach shots I have ever had. I stuck the 86-yard shot to 5 feet, which felt amazing.
  • TP5 - I hit an amazing rolling driver shot on hole 4 to about 12 feet. For some reason, my brain turned off, and I thought I was putting for birdie. Then my brother (playing with me) started telling me it was for Eagle, and I flipped, haha. I guess that is why I ended up getting bogey on the following hole, haha.
  • TP5—Hole 9: I hit a not-so-great drive and left myself 256 yards from the pin. I had been feeling super confident in my FW and decided to nuke it, and I did! I hit one of the best FW shots I have ever had and left myself with 10 feet for eagle. The putter came in clutch, and I made the putt.
  •

Overall, I felt the round went well, and I had a good time playing.

I was have a decent round until #17 when I took a double bogey. I did, have 2k birdies on #3 and #13. My putting overall was the greatest today. Course was drying out when we left. The green were receptive to good shots into them. Having the first tee time can give you wet conditions in the morning.

Colurse in awesome condition, scrambling all day, lipped out 3 birdies and burned the edge on 2 others

iron shots were pitiful, But LUCILLE (AKA Odyssey AI#1 CH) was holding it together for me.

anyway- a day on the course is better than in the office!

Are nine (9) hole scores acceptable?  By the looks of some posted scores they are?

This course always gets the better of me. Can’t explain why when it’s really an easy track. Oh well, I caddy 6 out of the next 7 days so I have some time to work out some kinks on the range before playing again next week.

At a Dormie network course called Arbor Links. I also get a few loops at a private course nearby called Lost Rail.

Played 9 holes front 9 from the white tees.

CR/CS = 70.4/123

This was my first time playing this course and it humbled me. Partly because I played tight and never relaxed. Partly because I kept misreading putts. The course itself is not particularly difficult.

Are nine (9) hole scores acceptable?  By the looks of some posted scores they are?

Yes they are.

This had the chance to be one of those magical rounds... was +4 after 9 holes of walking and decided to grab a cart and finish the round out. Very easily could have been a low 80s score as my ball striking was phenomenal today but the back 9 beat me up a good bit on my approaches and tee shots.

Can't wait to get back on Friday to do it all over again.

Yes, but you need to have the slope/rating for the nine you played.

Played great today shot 3 under! Love the new Titleist Irons! Unfortunately, the greens had been punched. They were bumpy and slow. However, hit 11 fairways, 14 greens and had 28 putts. Our group won the money game. Blue Tees, rating 69.1 and slope 123.

Very nice round and on aerated greens to boot.  Well done

To be fair, this was me and my 9 year old daughter playing best ball, but since it was only her 2nd time playing we only used her ball twice and neither time was it "best" but it was doable and made her feel like she was contributing!

JUST PUT TWO 9's TOGETHER!   Tale of two 9's. Uff da.  Played this morning as well and it went even worse.  So I am posting yesterdays.....I was hoping to improve by a stroke each day this week, that went out the window today.

-1 on the front.  Going along well, until....under a tree, punch out into a bunker with newly edged walls, no real shot against the wall.....straight up into the air and out into the rough about 5 feet in front of me....missed the green en route to a triple.  Three putted the 14th, and limped in with bogey, bogey.....what could have been.
