Used to play Callaway wedges back in the day, will be interesting to see how they perform. 

Appreciate it! I have not used Callaway wedges in the past but have always been intrigued by them. The CB wedges did not really call out to me this season, but the Opus line did grab my attention. Really looking forward to giving you all the best I can in this review and bring full transparency to this test.

Love this! This is what makes research and testing a thing of beauty. There will definitely be some limitations to what we can do based on region or course conditions so having others either verify or prove otherwise only makes this process work to its max potential. In this regard, I will do my best to provide transparency to what I could or could not complete or lack in certain instances in the hope the rest can carry the torch and fill those gaps.

It's pretty exciting getting picked for this test! My current Cleveland and Titleist wedges are 10 years old, so now is a good time to test something brand new! I might get one of those phone holder sticks that go in the ground so I can record comparison videos of my Cleveland 588 Forged to the Opus. I can usually generate some spin, so this should be fun.

My house backs up to a local muni course, so testing comes fairly easy, but I might go to another course down the road that has a decent practice chipping green.

Congrats testers! I haven’t been this excited for a wedge test in a long time.

The price is crazy and I’m kind of hoping it isn’t received well. I love my vokeys and don’t want to be looking at $180/club when they need refreshed.

Similarly I’m hoping this premium tier for wedges doesn’t become a thing. Between GI iron, PD irons, P irons and the range of drivers available within each line it is great to have choice in the market but is becoming increasingly challenging to keep up with.
