53 yards... phhhhssssttt... that's nothing... I've actually had to cross over 2 fairways to get back onto mine...WAY more than 53 yards...

 

I do like the sign though... kinda funny...

We should leave a ball as an offering to the golf gods if we ever come across a sign like that.

I would say leave a beer, but if that far off ,the medicine will be more necessary than another ball.

I like that. If I lived on a golf course, I'd have one of those in my yard.

 

Some of the courses I played at on this trip have backyards that are not technically OB, but the homeowners put up their own white stakes to scare off the golfers.

My Dad used to live on the elbow of a dog leg left hole on a course in San Diego that just happened to be right within driving range for most amateurs. He would have killed to put a version of that in his back yard. Too funny!

Yeah, he used to keep a bucket in his backyard that he would put all of the balls he collected in and it contain every ball imaginable filled to the brim. I'd love to visit because he wouldn't play anything but yellow balls which back then was only limited to Top Flight or Pinnacle.

 

He'd let me take whatever I want out of the bucket as long as it wasn't those two. As you can imagine, I didn't have any issue with that whatsoever! :)
