I was lucky enough to get one of the 200 x deals our National Golf Retailer had on Pro V1 & ProV1X (among others).

Basically sold 2 x dozen per ball at $25.95 per dozen..

Thought it was a super bargain!

I am looking for some opinions on what wedges I should get. Looking for 52, 56, and 60 with higher bounce. My ping wedges are getting outdated and not my preferred bounce. I am very interested in possibly a Hi-toe because I have heard great things. If anyone have tried the Hi-toe 3 and can let me know how it is that would be great. But, I am also open to hearing other opinions or if anyone has any for sale that can be shipped new or used.

I’ve been very happy with my Maltby 58°. But I will admit my experience with wedges isn’t as broad as others. But it’s cheap enough that it doesn’t hurt to get one to experiment with.

Great traction on the ball, feels great to swing, strong ball flight and stops very fast on the green. I’m hitting a softer ball, which certainly helps.

I paired the 58° with their in-house Mitsu graphite shaft (Kuro Kage). I’m not really good enough to ‘shape’ my wedge shots, but I’ve toyed with it and the club will do it…I’m just not great at it. Overall, it’s done exactly what I want it to do!

I'm ditching my 4-hybrid and adding a 7-wood into my bag.  I have Ping 430 SFT 3- and 5-woods, and I love how easy they are to hit.  I don't have a slice, but the SFT's work for me, without adding much of a draw.
Prior to this, but just about two months ago, I added an Evnroll 11 to my bag and I absolutely love it.  My putting, which was seriously struggling, has gotten so much better.

I guess I'm constantly tinkering with my bag, but at 68 years old, I'm consistently a single digit handicap now (barely, at 9.1).  My next purchase will likely be a Garmin rangefinder.  The new Z30 ties into my Garmin Approach S62 watch, and I'm looking forward to giving that one a try.  Maybe Christmas!

Question, Have you (or any other members) experienced these golf balls outer layer scuffing extremely easy? I went through a dozen of these in one tournament without losing a single one because my irons would chew them up.

I played an entire round with 1 ball Saturday. Only one noticeable scuff. Ball hit the cart path on a drive on hole 4. I went ahead and kept using it because the scuff was not bad at all. Actually held up quite well.

I offered my putter to @GolfSpy_APH at Royal New Kent my putting was so bad.  Luckily he didn’t need any more putters at the time!

Hope this one works out for you!

I absolutely LOVE Royal New Kent. Such a beautiful course.

Picked up a dozen left dash for the Bar Association Cap and Crew on Thursday, so got that going for me I guess.

I've never played a left - before. I've put them in carts on numerous sites, but never pulled the trigger.

I just bought the Callaway AI Smoke TD Max. I love it.

I have one on order. Been waiting a while, but should have it within the next couple of weeks. Not sure why it's taking this darn long to arrive, but it's not like I'm hitting my Ping THAT badly right now. I keep hearing positives about the TD Max.

Because I can't keep well enough alone, I had to wrap the new Ai-One 2-ball shaft White to match my irons.

It looks SO much better with Navy/White theme of the head and grip.

They should have a White shaft as stock, or at least an option imo.

Ok, how did you do this?  I have the stock steel shaft and the sticker just started peeling which drives me crazy…was considering removing the sticker all together.

Curious how this holds up, it looks sharp!

Thanks

My wife has a "Cricut" which is like a printer that cuts out shapes in vinyl to make mugs, t-shirts, etc..

I use that peel & stick vinyl to wrap shafts.

image.png.ac913d3b9971eeb51669984139eb7d94.png

I used the same White vinyl on my irons, and wrapped those in the spring of 2022, and they are still holding up.

There are some spots on the longer irons that wore through the vinyl where the shaft of the club sticks out and rubs against the interior of the bag slot. It's very minor, and you can cut out sections and basically "repair" it with new vinyl.

I removed the vinyl from the bottom section of my 4 iron, and it was stuck on there like I had just put it on the day before, so it does hold up really well.

This is after almost 3 full seasons, you can see where the 5 & 6 irons have rubbed through, but I can just cut out a small section of vinyl and replace it easily.

I am moving from the paradym TD and I liked that a lot too. This however is the middle of the road lower spin with more forgiveness that I have been sorely missing. It's been a revelation for me personally.

Just bought three new Ping G430 hybrids - 17, 19 and 22 degrees. The reviews for these was too much to ignore (MGS rated top hybrid ever) so I got fitted. We even adjusted the 17 up a degree to 16 and I was able to replace my 3 wood in the bag with another wedge to fill a gap in the low end.

Love these hybrids. Easy to hit, great launch and very forgiving.

Not a huge fan of yellow balls, but recently bought some sleeves of Pinnacle yellow balls and they are pretty decent to find them in the fairway, at the beginning I thought they could mix with the grass and be harder to find, but after playing those balls were shinning perfectly so it made it easier to find the ball.
