Need a Different hybrid shaft

I love my 18* 585.H and I love the V2 shaft but 104g is way to heavy. My 906 has a 78g V2 or something close to 80g and I like that feel. Does UST make a hybrid shaft in the mid 80g range. If not does anyone have a suggestion to a good shaft in the 80g range with something around a low-mid flight.

I've liked the Aldila NV and VS Proto hybrid shafts.

The VS Proto is a good shaft. Have you heard anything about the voodoo in a hybrid like in the adams. I was told thats also a good shaft.

I have the stock Titleist VooDoo in some of my 909H clubs, and I think the shaft match is a good match with the head. Definitely a low to mid ball flight, but not hard to hit higher off the tee if need be.

Thats good to hear since I just ordered the 909D2 with the Titleist Voodoo in it. I am gonna look between the Voodoo and the V2 I think.

I love the Matrix Ozik series; they make a XCON-8h that is 85g in R-flex, 86g in S-flex, and 87g in XS-flex. I have the XCON-6 in my driver and a Matrix HDA in my 3W; I love them both. I personally have a steel shaft in my hybrid, because I like the feel of it better and have a lower launch.

What do you mean by the feel of a stiff shaft in your hybrid? How does the steel differ from the graphite?

Does anyone know if a .350 or .370 tipped shaft can work for the 585.H which has a stock .355 tapered tip?

.350 will work with a shim, but I personally just like to play it safe and find a .355 shaft.

Wow really? My buddy called Golfsmith and Golf USA and they both said to use a .370 tip. there is almost nothing to choose from with a .355 tip unless I wan a steel shaft. Almost all shafts are .335 .350 or .370. I just want a 85g V2 in my hybrid lol.

I like the heavier and firmer feel of a steel shaft. I have to search hard for Stiff flex graphite shafts that fit my 118mph swing, because I don't like the feel of XS shafts. Plus the steel shaft was a heck of a lot cheaper and less time consuming than finding a graphite shaft that felt good in my hybrid.
