Stainless Carbon Holliday - 12.jpg

Just thought that I'd share some shots of the Carbon Holliday that I had built as a gamer recently.

I have been gaming the carbon steel version of this putter for a few years now and I was curious as to how it would play in stainless steel. In the spirit of full disclosure, my miss is typically short, and I was wondering if the extra POP of stainless would help the ball to get over that last little bit of green. I'll let you know...

Anyway, I went with a California Holliday theme with this one. It all started with the optional California headcover that Carbon offered as an option. From there I went with a flat white shaft to match the color scheme and gold paint fill for that California gold!

This time around, I had to get a round in the chamber. It's one of the coolest things that Carbon does. I will say that it did lead to me making shotgun sounds when I sank a long on on Sunday. Chick Chick, BOOM

Sealing the deal was a sweet don't-ask-me-how-to-get-one solid gold colored grip from SuperStroke. There is bling, and then there is BLING. Nothing subtle about this grip.

As I said, I'll let you know about the stainless vs. carbon steel performance. They do feel different, even with all of the matching specs.

What I do know is that Carbon has basically wrecked me for all other putters, at least for a little while :)

Here's the link to Carbon Putters in case you too feel like shopping.

Dave, that is a thing of beauty!! I saw the stainless options on the carbon website, so clean!! How's the beefy 370 weight??

Also, superstroke really needs to make more solid color grips, i dig the crazy skulls, but the monotone with just the name is soooooo nice

This Holliday is not the one on the Carbon site. It's a secret menu prototype that is much lighter. Around 340 I seem to remember. Only four of these heads exist. I own two, and the other two are gamed by the Carbon owners :)

Hmmmmm, secret menu??? Sounds like it needs a little In N Out logo on the headcover. I remember you saying you liked slightly lighter putters, so the possibility of a 370 head was a little surprising.

Any idea when the Clayton, Oakley or Cassidy will be coming out??
