Train the wife better. Mine has given up and knows if I am playing that I don't have my phone anywhere near me.

 

That being said I would rate me as a D+ husband at best.

I'm going to start writing a book called "You too can achieve wife-foo". It'll have all the wisdom for you married fellas on how to train/keep your wife happy...there'll be a lot of chapters.

I have avoided such a problem because my wife knows that I never bring my phone on a golf course.   I told her that due to concerns regarding pace of play,  it violates the rules of golf etiquette.
