Costco ks1 putter face inconsistencies

I Purchased the putter the other day and noticed that on the front the milling is inconsistent. I understand that there are different vertical stripes on the face but it appears that on those lines it is a little uneven. Does anyone else have this problem? Does it make a difference or should I buy a new one??

I saw the KS1 in person at my local store. After all the hype I was excited but, quickly I was disappointed in the craftsmanship when I opened the box. I left it in the store.

I play Evnroll or Ping putters and don't understand Scotty Cameron lovers.

Golf is simple - people are complicated.

5w Taylormade SLDR S 19* - 220yd, Ping G2 5-U - 190-105, Maltby M+ 54* & MG 60* - 95-75, Evnroll ER8, Titleist 816 H1 4h 21*, Maltby 4 Hybrid Iron 24* - 210-200, Callaway XR16 8* - 235 carry

After seeing an endless stream of KS1 photos I don't know what all the hype is about. They should cost at least $50 less than they do. Maltby sells milled putters for under $100 that appear to be of at least equal quality.

I don't understand Scotty Cameron lovers either. Are they nice? Sure, but they aren't collectable. I hear stories about people gloating about spending three large at Scotty's studio for a fitting and custom putter and just wonder, why? Some golf shops used to keep a small selection (less than 5) behind glass in the past but now every golf shop has at least 10 just sitting on their putting green. Over $350 to get a putter than has been sitting out for a month and touched by 200 people? No way.

I'm looking into the Maltby's.

I think they can be a great alternative to the expensive milled putters.

I like the Maltby Wedges and Irons. I have not tried the putters. However, I would expect good things as all my products from them have been great.

The sub 70 line of putters, although a bit more expensive than the Maltby, seem to be very good products too.

This is semi off topic, but in all seriousness are the Scottys, Bettis, and boutique brands really worth it?  Odyssey can get up there in price now that they have the Toulon customs, so I may as well throw them in there.  All of them shout from the rooftops about CNC milled or handcrafted in the case of the limited releases, but unless a $1,500 custom putter is going to line up my putt for me and then proceed to sink it in one stroke no matter the distance, it is just not worth it to me.

The value of any product is something each person decides and isn’t specific to golf. I like putters so yes in some cases it is worth the price.
