Good Morning All!

Had a tough range session last night after being gone on a cruise for a week. Have quite a few rounds planned over the next week and hope to get back into the swing of things soon! For any Otto Phlex boys, the Maltby UL shaft has been unreal even when the swing isn't where I want it to be. The consistency and dispersion is just so good. Still have to get it on my Bushnell Launch Pro and compare to the old gamer shaft.

Today is my wife's and my 16th "Meet-aversary" with date night later at the same place where lightning struck all those years ago...

Got our new bbq grill assembled .. a lotta separate pieces of it packed in the shipping box, a stupid amount of small fasteners but fortunately all Phillips head and then 27 but thankfully reasonably well illustrated steps to complete... 

Maiden voyage...

Also later today is packing up the clubs .. plus whatever else I can stuff inside while keeping to the weight limit .. for Ship Sticks pickup tomorrow morning.

Thank you guys! She does have another surgery scheduled for the 13th. We see the surgeon on Wednesday for that. Still waiting on the cancer dna analysis to see if chemotherapy and radiation are needed. We’re hoping not, but I’m betting there will be one of the two treatments for her just to make sure they got it all. I finally got a decent night’s sleep. She’s doing very well and is a chattering squirrel . I’ve never heard her talk so much . Got to be the pain meds. Have a great day!!!

Morning spies, worked all night so it's about my bedtime.. My last couple of golf outings haven't been up to par so I decided to give it a months rest.. it's only been about a week and I'm already itching to get back to the course, but I'm going to refrain and put some work in first.. My driver started a mild slice again and putting away to much spin on the ball which is causing it to dart right from the slice of course and only getting about 220 yards at the moment.. Not sure what changed in my swing but will get it figured out.. Anyway, y'all have a great day and hit em straight!

Late check-in this morning but hope everyone is off to a great start on what is finally a beautiful weather day here! We've got a make-up game for baseball this evening which I am looking forward to, and then I am off work tomorrow to take our youngest on a little field trip to a place in town. Only about an hour total time, then we are hitting the course for 9. 

After that, the plan is currently to head to my in-laws cabin for the holiday weekend. Only way that will change is if my sister in law and her husband are going. It gets too crowded, and there's just been some stuff going on with her (to put it lightly) and him to an extent that we don't want to be there if they are there. Sad, but true.

Good Thursday Morning Spies!

Well, the day started with a cancellation of weekly league play due to course flooding after yesterday's deluge. It was a heavy one for sure as we got a little over 3" in about 1-1/2 hours at the house but were spared any severe conditions. More forecast for this afternoon... just lovely. 

With the weather, indentured servitude, and scheduled holiday activities, it appears my golf fix will have to wait for next week. and worse yet will not have an entry for week 5 of VCT...

Morning Spies , the game comeback has reached another pitfall! Got up yesterday noticing my  back was a little iffy , then I tried to do my 2  mile walk, excruciating pain in my left leg and had to abort the walk ! Rest yesterday and felt pretty good, then this morning walked downstairs and pain was more severe ! Now I’m concerned about disc damage  And game will face major setback  !   Be blessed today !

Glad to hear that everything is going well and positive thoughts for the dna results. My bride went through the radiation with her treatment journey.

Glad you finally were able to relax a little and get some needed sleep.

Good morning! Got back late last night from Salt Lake City and wouldn't you know, the babysitter called off sick today. So I'm working from home and watching the kids today with a neighbor coming to help out every so often.

As far as golf goes, I was able to go to a PGA Tour Superstore before I left SLC yesterday. I tried out a standard DF3 (I'm testing the counterbalance DF3 for the Forum Test). It was a lot of fun and all the workers there had heard of mygolfspy and were planning to check out the forum and the DF3 test!! I also finally saw all of the 2024 model Drivers all in one place. After seeing them all in person, I have to admit that I like the looks of the Callaway AI smoke best, but the clean Cobra Darkspeed was a close 2nd!

The long grass reminded me of all the chores I pushed off for the work trip to SLC, so that's what I'll be doing tonight. Hopefully I'm able to get a lot done so I can go golfing tomorrow!

Good Thursday morning, albeit a little late. Hit the track this morning for a nice little 3 miler, then sat in the steam room and stretched for 10 minutes afterward. Yesterday my baseball team played the #1 ranked team in the state and was thoroughly handled, as expected. Holy crap, they were all defensive studs with laser beam arms and hit everything hard; I was beyond impressed. On the golf front, I've snuck out for two 9 hole excursions this week (45 / 51) and am supposed to be playing 18 tomorrow, but the weather looks a little dicey. We'll see what tomorrow brings! I hope everyone's Thursday is productive - go get some and make it great!

Up early. Two cups down. SWMBO was drafted for Field Trip Duty “grand-nephew”. So I got out for nine holes. The home course is in great shape. 
 

Putting was lights out and my iron play out much better as the round went on.

 

On the 9th hole from this lie I caught this branch flush. Seriously, I couldn’t do that again if I tried. I was so I went back a took a picture of the “BLEEPING” thing.

I have spoken with a few maintenance personnel at the course about errant branches and other natural obstscles on our course. Simply put, unless it poses a  safety risk to the public or the course itself, they aren't allowed to trim anything over 10 feet.

Late to the thread but its practically the weekend anyways so that's my excuse lol 

Told my son that this weekend we are watching Saving Private Ryan (he has never seen it). Sometimes we have to remind our young ones what brave men did for their country. It's not exactly the same (its a movie) but the story is good.

I’m always hitting that 10% and am always in the trees on a wide fairway. There must be some invisible magnetic pull for my golf balls.
