Well, it appears the bat rack was a hit with the coaches and kids at the game today. Daughter said everyone was pleased and it helps them in teaching the kids to be organized and not hitting each other with their bats in the dugout...  These are 1st year coaches' pitch aged boys.

It was a fun little project.

Well we survived our whirlwind weekend of Friday night/all day Saturday marching band and football. Youngest plays right guard and in his first 7th grade youth league game he had 4 pancakes and was just a beast out there! @Michael.Sandoval33 can vouch he got some live updates during the game .  Got outbid at the last minute on the golf themed basket at the football kickoff banquet so that sucked. Relaxing and watching TV with SWMBO. Have a good evening all!

Golf league manager said on tuesday we are ALL going back to the white tees next season.  Thannnnnnk raptor jebus.

I gotta wonder if its just for time purposes.  Like for example.... in my group.  I am the only one that plays from those per current rules.  The other three people (my dad included) get to play from the white.  Meaning I have to play first on every damn hole.  I dont like it, sometimes im just not ready damnit.

Looking forward to maybe attempting to drive some greens now lol.  I cant do it from the blues (which really is the appropriate box for me at my current level).

Some of my tee boxes are 30-50yds behind the whites.  Kinda sucks when guys "worse" than me get spotted 50 yards.

Also we do in round prizes kinda.  Closest to the pins, long drive etc.  But for like all this stuff there isnt a separate category for long drivers or CTPs from the blues.... my brothers in bogeys.... the blues on some of these par 3 are approaching 180+ yds. 

Its not my fault I can hit it farther like thats the one thing I got going for me most days (sure as s*** isnt my putting).

It was not just for time purposes.  Actually emailed the dude and was all "so... whites again?"

His response and I quote:

I do say though if I go back to the whites, people 65+ should have the option for reds (forward tees).

Good morning everyone! 

It's a way to early to have to work Monday. The bosses like to torture us under the guise of "line confirmation" and make sure the first quarter of the day is as long as the entirety of the time after lunch. Makes for a long day.

I had a great time yesterday strolling around The Honors Course watching the Senior Amateur and thinking about how that course would beat me up.

Good morning Spies!

Day 4 in Italy and every day has been an absolute blast so far. We’re currently in Sorrento and headed to Pompeii today for a tour. This afternoon we’ll be taking a ferry to Amalfi for the next few nights. Should be a dream. 

Very glad to see Lydia Ko get the win at St. Andrew’s! She’s been crushing it since her return to form post-injury. I was rooting hard for Nelly but +3 in the last 5 holes isn’t how you win tournaments. Shoutout Keegan as well at the BMW! He’s fighting for that playing captain position next year! 

Our good family friend, Kevin Roy finished T2 in the Korn Ferry tournament and moved up to 10 in the points list! Top 30 get their Tour card so he’s in great shape heading into the last few weeks of the season. 

Welcome to the new members @Jeremy1999 and @Bogey Train Conductor! I’m sure you’ll enjoy your stay.

Absolutely count my blessings every day. As we say down south blessings for waking up on the right side of the dirt. I have to remind myself sometimes even on bad days after what I went through I am lucky to even be able to play golf. Up early this AM drinking coffee and pecking on here. Fixing to do my stretching routine to get ready to play this morning. Tee in the ground at 7:30

Good morning MGSpies on this no-commute last Monday for August workday from the glorious warmth of a WNY summer.  Yesterday was shed day with all the supplies on-hand removing shutters, doors, and assorted parts that were cleaned, scraped and painted, and all restored to full operational parameters before sunset.  Solo job as MGSpouse somehow avoided visits to provide insights and son is still sorting out the inside of the house with his merging back into homelife after college apartment time while he is working an extended co-op that has rumblings of a possible offer, and only rumblings.

 

Great to see the new members in TGMT with us, welcome in @Jeremy1999 and @Bogey Train Conductor !  Also wondering how much @Byrnzee is paying attention to Italy following golf so well , @KC Golf safe travels home   and great short term project @William P with such an amazing build 

Golf today after work, 9 holes at the practice course and forward plan is 2 workdays, a golf day, and 2 workdays before getting to next weekend.  Hope golf is a part of your day

A busy week for me so limited golf activities, although Wednesday morning looks to be my best opportunity to play.

Happy Monday morning folks! Who’s getting out to play this week? We have guests coming in on Thursday so my time will be null!

Top of the pot spies .  Up early today for our tournament at Phoenix Country Club.  This is one of about 10 events scheduled over the summer the Arizona Golf Association (AGA) hosts for seniors.  It culminates in a championship match among event winners.  One of my friends from men's league asked me if I wanted to team up with him.  He has played some of these in past years. We were only able to book this one due to others already being full and our own schedule conflicts.

It's a 2-man best ball format and they play at some really nice courses all around the greater Phoenix area.  I attended the Charles Schwab Cup Championship last fall and thought to myself "I'd love to play this course"... little did I know .

Two other players from our men's league have already won two of these events and will be in the championship event in a couple weeks (they play the gross event).  Hopefully we can join them
