I went and played a quick 9 when we hit about 35 degrees.  Tomorrow may hit 70 here.

@rkj427 I think I actually found a good layer combo.  Funny thing, we've been discussing how to layer up & how it impacts us the back 9 when it's supposed to warm up, but doesn't.  
I wear a mock shirt which helps cover the neck, vest over the mock, I have this long sleeve Callaway Swing Tech 1/4 zip jacket over the mock shirt & vest. Swing is not obstructed, I stay warm & comfortable to walk.  Also wearing two gloves (one on each hand) keeps the hands warm - I switched to the Finger Ten rain type gloves and they work great.  Just getting used to swinging & putting with two gloves on.

The fact that you specified this point (see above bold/italic/underlined/yellow) made me genuinely laugh - did you think anyone would worry you were wearing two gloves on your left hand? lol...I don't why I find that so funny, but I really, really do.  Thanks for that!

Sunny, cold, no breeze .... almost perfect conditions.

And I did get nine holes in today. Not my best outing but not my worst. The wind was cold but the sun was warm and I had the front nine all too myself.

I have a good layer program going on as well, similar to you I have some long sleeve (lets call them undershirts) then a golf shirt (layer 2) then a zip up fleece (layer 3) always a neck warmer (that is the go to) and then a Bruins hat (which makes most of my playing partners mad) if it is really cold I put on a shell (layer 4) and a touque instead of a hat. I have hand warmers too but I put them in my pocket. Fleece lined pants if my legs get cold.

Very similar. For me it’s base layer, golf shirt, one of several different 1/4 zips of various thicknesses, and then a vest. Beanie for my bare skull if it’s windy. Hand warmers for my pockets if it gets down below 40°F.

You were doing really well until you got to the Bruins hat. Really?  My buddy does the same thing, just to drive me nuts. For temperatures in the 30’s (< 5*C), I prefer beanie or toque hat, neck warmer (only if it’s wet and nasty) Red rooster rain gloves (they work really well in the cold), winter cycling pants (stretchy, water resistant and warm) plus appropriate layering. The Galvin Green insula gear works very well, but it’s pricey (wait for it to go on sale). Add a cart cover (does a great job at keeping the wind out) and you’re all set.

good idea on the winter cycling pants, yes Galvin Green is supposed to be the best, and the Red Rooster rain gloves, (invented by a canadian so they must be good lol) I will have to give those a try but I can't play with 2 gloves...or rain gloves, my neck warmer is definitely my go to but you are way younger than me so you probably dont need it as much as me...

The red rooster gloves have little silicone roosters on it for additional grip which is nice and something I think all rain gloves need.  I can't play with 2 gloves either.

I have this Polartec Knit Polyester beanie covers the ears & keeps the balding head nice and warm!
