Man, have to be careful with concussions.  Especially at our age

Did a Bocce Golf session with Gkids, daughter & SWMBO.  Daughter won.

Glad to hear you’re ok. Getting hit in the head is no joke. Anywhere for that matter but definitely the noggin.

Unfortunately the MTB X did not work out for me today.  I ended up shooting 79 (averaging 78.3 this year), but the greenside feel was below average.  Holes 9 and 10 I ended up having horrible two chips/two putts from decent locations because I couldn't get enough spin on the Snell to get it to stop near the hole.  I ended up switching back to the Pro V1x on the 14th hole after I lost the Snell on a tee shot.  From there I went +1 on the last 4 holes with old reliable.

I may use the Snell for a 2nd test during a practice round again, but it won't be gamed for a meaningful round anytime soon.  It's not necessarily a bad ball, but for me it didn't reach the level of a Pro V1x.

After my daughter has her initial interview and was moved on to an owner review the first questions were:

Do you golf?

What's your handicap?

3rd question:

What kind of beer do you drink?

Only questions owners asked.  Her answers all quality and she was hired!

As long as it didn’t kill me, getting hit in the head is probably less painful than anywhere else.  Getting hit on the elbow 12 years ago at my old course was very painful.

Good evening Spies, 

I've been MIA this week.  Been busy with Chamber. Getting golf fliers out and hung up.  We moved recently and have an open house next week - so making sure the place is ready.  Also been out seeing my businesses.  It's been raining most of the week so no golf anyway. Oh and I guess I shouldn't forget - celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary!

Hopefully will be caught back up and back to posting regularly.

Good morning everyone and happy Friday. Enjoyed watching some of the US Open yesterday, though many people probably not happy with the low scores, but it sure was exciting. Will be interesting to see where it goes from here. Personally golf was cancelled for tomorrow as it is supposed to be raining all day. Sunday now looks better but it might not be in the cards if tee sheets are full. Looking forward to the weekend and hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning spies! Friday is upon us and it should be a good one! I've got a busy day today, but it is a good kind of busy. Most exciting to me is the Sub70 TAIII wedges that are coming today! Good morning MGSpies on this middle Friday of June, wet morning and forecast for the day including 5:10 tee time.  Hot coffee  and backup ready to go and will be a great help today, so ready for the weekend.  Recounting how last week at this time I was just over halfway to the Pinehurst Open weekend and discovered the non-toll US-19 route through WV between Prosperity and Camp Creek. 

If you like the old highway experiences of winding switchbacks, woodlands and rural places where people live, this stretch of road is for you as long as you don't mind the road less traveled, the infrequent but sudden hairpin turns, and the exhilaration of active driving instead of managing a steering wheel from a slightly changing landscape.  It will never be a road I take SWMBO on as she prefers fast, straight, and don't shake me up at all.

I just got an SSD to replace the HDD in my personal laptop, so I'm installing all the software now to clone the current drive to the new one while I'm working on my company lappy. Good morning Spies, although it may seem like a late start for me today, I can only wish that were true.

Working from home, and a big "panic" situation arose from some others who don't exactly do what they are supposed to be doing or pay attention to the facts as they occur. 

So after a couple hours of "educating" them on what they should already know, realize or have facts on, I have a few minutes to log-in here. 

Hoping to get done by early afternoon and get a round in later today as it is sunny and hitting the high 70's.

Have a charitable event to attend too on Saturday morning, raising money for Leader Dogs here, and hoping to get another round in on Sunday.

@BKervin congrats. on all of the milestones / happenings!

Good morning fellow MGS'ers and happy Friday! Annual Athletic Club golf outing was a success and just an overall great time yesterday. I am absolutely exhausted and looking forward to a nap this afternoon . We ended up finishing at 60 (-12), good for 11th place. I am not exaggerating when I say that one of my friends put on the most impressive driving round I have ever witnessed in person yesterday. He literally did not hit one bad shot with driver, and one of the highlights was carrying a Par 4 green where you can cut the corner and get there if you absolutely mash it. Two other guys on that same hole landed on the skirt leading up to the green on that one as well. The one that took the cake though, without question, was on a hole known as Alligator Alley. It's a tight, dogleg left par 4 with a stream. The normal play is a 200-215 yard carry club to the corner and then a long iron into the green. We had two safe tee shots, so my buddy decided to try and cut the corner by carrying the trees. He hit it as pure as you can hit a driver, carried the corner, and landed across the other side of the stream with about 46 yards to the flag. I have never, NEVER, seen anyone carry that creek before on our course. This is also the hole that runs along our backyard, separated by those woods. My wife was out in the yard with the boys and she could hear us hooting and hollering after the shot, which we found quite funny haha! The best part of the whole outing was that every guy in our group hit at least one good shot on every hole, and it was one of the better ball striking days I had personally as well. Here's a photo of our motley crew, and yes, the guy that is barefoot was our ace in the hole on greens . Made multiple 12+ foot birdie putts on the day. The guy in the red was the one crushing drives and I am in the blue.
