Adams Golf is Back!

As a huge Adams golf fan, needless to say, this makes me gitty! 

Hopefully this is the start of a rebirth, not a re-brand, and they go back to making some gems. 

The initial offering looks pretty good, the driver gives me Paradym vibes from the crown, not sure if I like that or not yet. 

I'll take any excuse to talk about Adams, so I figured why not spark up a conversation.

Adams released a new lineup yesterday which I am sure many of you saw. 

The driver looks stunning at address and overall it looks like a well put together group of clubs. 

Love to hear what all of you think and would you game any of these?

Agreed on the driver shape at address, totally Taylor Made, looks great.

Great pricing for that driver, I’m not too keen on the looks to be honest, but I like the idea they got going here

It's crazy how much it looks like the taylormade stealth. I guess if that's where the technology is going things are bound to look very similar.

The driver and woods look nice but the irons look very large and boxy for the topline. I really like a smooth shape for the topline so my eye isn't drawn to anything else but the ball

Thanks for posting a LH buddy of mine has been looking for something newer as he has some older big Bertha irons. He was blown away by the cost of a set of irons!!

While I wouldn’t consider myself part of the COVID bounce (been playing for ~25 years) but finding myself having more time to play now, I love the idea behind a set of clubs like this. The price is competitive to DTC brands, but they offer a wider range of clubs!

These are definitely on my radar now and will be in consideration as I look to replace almost my entire bag.

Im sold, sorta.

They need to offer each item and not a bag and set configuration.
6-pw, driver, wood, hybrid, wedges, putters needs to be offered separately like every other set. Bad idea to force packs. Im not going to use the wedges.

Once they are available for me to buy separately Id love to get some new Adams, fan of the more traditional lofts as well. My fav brand of the past and I still have the XTD-ti 23* hybrid in my bag some days. Please dont half ass it this time by just offering package sets. They always do something with Adams to block it from full on success.

I am really glad they are back! 

One because they offer more clubs for left handed players.

Back I the late 90’s my entire bag was . Titanium driver, irons.

Good to see the full release.  I bought a hybrid and fairway wood early last year from their 2021 release and played them until just recently.  They were good clubs.

Driver, hybrid and 7 wood look the most appealing. Ill wait on some info on the putters but Im sure theyre fine. Irons as well but Im content with current irons.

I remember the original 16 degree. I had it and hated it. It was me, and not the club. Now that I'm older, I may want to check these out, since they're more in my price point than the big names.

The silver tight lies were not as easy to hit as the revised ones in 2012 and 2014. Those are still good but not as forgiving as the large FW woods they kinda released 2 years ago. I do have to say Im surprised that the cog is not as low as expected on the irons and the slot is missing from the sole of irons and kinda bummed all shafts offered are high launch. For the price, Im ok with the woods and hybrids being bonded. And quality looking headcovers...

Xtd-ti Driver and hybrids

Idea Tech 2015 irons

9064ls driver

CB3 irons

Proa12 irons + hybrid

Blue 7 wood

Insight BUL5000 driver

Tight lies fw of all generations

Red Pro Titanium hybrid

Adams pro DHY 26* which still finds its way into the bag

My father still plays the 2014 Idea Velocity slots hybrids and irons

Clearly I will buy these. Its out of my control

After seeing the MGS article I went ahead and jumped in on the irons.

I'm definitely a GI iron player, and don't have that high a swing speed so super strong lofts don't work that well for me .. the specs on these look good for me and am looking forward to see how these feel and hit (60 day playability guarantee).

Glad to see the Adams name back out there after all this time. Granted they are not generally "tour" stuff, but man I sure did enjoy playing those. Might just have to give up my self imposed "I can't stand TM because of what they did to Adams".  Hey...do you think they read my post last year and changed their mind?  Most certainly will have to consider in the near future. Wedge selection is a little more restrictive but eh.

Then, it is a re-branding or a spin-off after the merge.  Still Taylor Made, maybe a secondary line from the same group.  I'll keep an eye on the development.  Still using the Adams Pro hybrids.  The Speedline Tech also finds its way to the bag often.

Yeah I'm worried this was more of a boardroom decision than one of passion.. But, it still gives me something to pay attention to, and hopefully, look forward to.

I am pretty excited to see if any reviews come out from some of the bigger YouTubers I follow.

So far I just found 1 review from a smaller channel, and they seem pretty good.

I guess TaylorMade has been sitting on their technology too but hasn't done anything with it.. that I know of anyway.

Interesting that this thread got bumped - feels like after the initial release and promo talk about these new Adams clubs died down quickly. Everything pointed to them being really solid and well priced but once the launch talk died down… that was the end of it.
