Red Rooster MGS Logo Gloves

Just got an email from Red Rooster! My glove was shipped today!!! I don't need it as my other Red Rooster glove is still in great shape after 4 rounds a month for the last 8 months! But now I can switch to go with what I'm wearing!!!

There is a very good chance we will be opening this process up again. Given the 3 month time frame I would expect sometime in late January early February. That way they should arrive in May just for the start of golf season for many!

I received my Red Rooster MGS gloves ( and a packet of their bamboo golf tees in assorted lengths) yesterday. The gloves are of very nice quality, at least in the looks and material quality departments; however, I do have one complaint. I ordered two gloves in Cadet Medium Large, which is my normal glove size (I have shorter, stubby fingers and larger-than-average palms, and that is the size that normally fits me perfectly). Both gloves have long, skinny fingers and they are so tight across the palms and backs, as well as in the fingers, that I cannot close the velcro fasteners, nor can I comfortably bend my knuckles to grip a club. Hopefully, they will stretch enough to be usable for me, without tearing the leather from the excess stretch being applied to the gloves from the super-tight fit.

It has arrived! 

I'm impressed with the quality of the Red Rooster Root the forum logo is top notch and I love the way it isn't just a flat design, it's actually raised which gives a depth to the logo.

The feel of the material is superb, I can say it's one of the nicest feeling gloves I've ever slid on my hand. I usually go with FootJoy WeatherSof's and this feels so much better.

I'm glad I went with medium as it fits nicely on my hand. I can't wait to get out on the course with it.

They look so good! I also didn't know the logo was going to be that high quality, I was expecting it to be stitched on, not actually raised. Very cool!

BAH-LING .  What a great looking and feeling glove.  A whisker thicker than the Kirkland's I've been using for the past few years but everybit as soft, and the logo... wow, did they ever put one over the fence with that feature!   Before ordering, I reached out to RR about size and they nailed that too.  These fit exactly like my Kirklands of the same size.

I'll report back on wear and play comfort, and before its retirement into my small but growing collection of unique golf memorabilia.

They arrived! Feel great but I agree with @funkyjudge in that mine are also a tad tight. Since they are leather I’d expect them to stretch a little though so guessing they will be just fine after getting in a few swings.

Mine are a lot tighter than that glove appears to be.

They’re in and amazing. I have seen a few people mention tightness with the gloves. I thought the same initially with the rain rooster but it loosens up easily. I love the feel and grip. Red rooster might become my go to gloves.

I pulled it tighter than I normally wear a glove but doesn’t appear to be as tight as yours sounds to be. I do think mine will be fine after it stretches a little. Hope yours do too.

For those wondering about fit, the gloves will stretch as you wear them and sweat. Kerry at Red Rooster mentioned that the Velcro should only go about half way on a brand new glove.

That makes sense then. Mine fit comfortably pulled about halfway over. It was uncomfortable when pulled all the way like in my pic.

Yeah you want a tight fit to start. If pulled all the way at the beginning there isn’t much room to go when it stretches

I'm sorry I haven't responded sooner, I've been in Knoxville visiting my sister and haven't been on the forum. 

I agree, I was blown away at the quality of the logo. I was thinking along the lines you were that the logo was just stitched on and didn't expect the awesome raised logo we got. 

The leather feels supple and a little thicker that the FJ's I'm used to and I'm impressed with it's quality. I feel like I'm going to have a solid connection to the club while I'm playing.
