IMO Rory needs to take a serious look at the current team and set up he has. He got rid of JP in 2017 after 3 years of not winning/competing at majors. Its been 7 years with Harry on the bag. Yes, he's his mate, and I commend the loyalty, BUT Rory is 34... he has maybe 6 years left where you are going to assume he is top 3-5 in the world level competitive? if Harry has made 5% (its more i'm sure for Tour Wins or FEDEX Cups etc) base off of all tournament winnings over the last 7 years, he's a millionaire. Time to pick up the phone to Bones or someone like Bones who will reign him in when its needed and let him loose when appropriate.

Coaching wise, i'm watching the masters feed on the app, but mates back home are saying that Butch Harmon was outwardly questioning his shot selection on commentary for Sky Sports in the UK? Michael Bannon is still based in NI. Might be time for a rethink there too..

I watched on the Masters app and website too. I have Sky Sports (well, pretty much all UK cable and satellite channels, lol) but that's in the lounge and I had to have the Masters on my personal computer while trying to get some work done.

Mixing business and friends or family can be recipe for disaster. Staying loyal to his friend as caddie through an extended majors drought with the age clock ticking doesn't seem smart. Absolutely agree about an overhaul of his team. Definitely needs a sports shrink when it comes to the majors.

Had a bugger of a time with the app yesterday, but did manage to watch about an hour or so. Dedicating some time tonight and tomorrow to sitting down and watching. Not a big LIV guy per say. I just love great golf!  Sad to see that some of the best players don’t get to tee it up against Scottie on a daily basis. Would def give him a run for his money week to week.

With the weather outlook improving over the weekend in Augusta, there are still more than a few who could post a great round score and move up the leaderboard.

Still will come down to who can make the fewest errors, maybe gets the most or best breaks, and who can handle the pressure of the back 9 on Sunday.

Been a great tournament so far, so much going on. Really enjoyed Max and Bryson’s press conferences last night, I think they are both in a good spot with their golf games. Expect Scottie to keep showing up, but I’d love to see Max and Bryson hang in there with him.

Totally missed Morikawa righting the ship to make the cut, good for him!

Agreed. IMO, he needs a new caddie.

He’s literally the US Open Phil Mickelson equivalent when it comes to the Masters, just incredibly poor decisions and unforced errors … and as a Rory fan, it’s infuriating. 

Can’t remember if it was #5 or 7 when his 3rd shot ended up over the green, he had an insanely difficult 4th chip and somehow managed to walk away with a 5. Tiger’s misses yesterday were exactly where he wanted them to be to get up and down … Rory’s were completely the opposite.

With a +6 cut line i was surprised reading through the full leaderboard that the highest score was a +15 for both rounds.  83 was the highest 2nd round score i saw posted which isn't too bad considering the field average for the day.  Usually you see a couple guys that completely lose their game and concentration in conditions like that and are north of 85.

Also... JT must have gone brain dead at the end of the 2nd round, he was +7 on his last 4 holes.  It would be interesting to hear the conversation between him and Bones to see what Bones said to try to bring him out of it.

I'd like to hear JT's and Harman's post round interviews.  I've done a brief search and not found any as yet.  Certainly the playing conditions will be mentioned as a factor but I wonder if one or both chose some aggressive shot choices they now wish they hadn't?

Also, I had not heard JT and Bone's parted ways just prior to the event. Count me amongst the many who thought this player/caddie pairing would prove to be a really good one.  The press quotes are the typical flowery stuff but there has to be something more not being shared - and that we may never know.  In any case, making the change the week ahead of The Masters seems like poor timing.

With you on this. Love seeing Scottie being so dominant the last year+ but I’d love to see max finally do well and win a major. His swing is too good not to have a couple under his belt. Also nothing on Bryson just have never been a big fan of his. He’s also playing solid though. Anyone’s game at this point!

Agreed on Rory - I think he’s accepting this isn’t his year (again). I think he needs a full scale reset, as he seems to in his head. 
 

Maybe a hot take on here, but I think the LIV players wearing their logos is not a good look, especially with how bad the logos are in the first place.

I agree, I would much rather see sponsors logos than what they're putting out. I know they're probably contractually obligated to wear their team logos and some players might not be sponsored.
