I made a purchase on a Black Friday deal on a ShotScope Connex system and it arrived today.

I probably won't be able to put it to use for a couple of weeks as daylight is becoming scarce after work, I'm working the next two Saturdays, and rain is in the forecast. 

I'm about to give it a look over and start pairing it up, though and I'm looking Forward to seeing how a shout tracking system under $100 works out.

I bought a sub 70 DI and got it in a week or so ago and quickly realized the shaft wasn't the right fit.  I reached out to their customer service and fully expected to pay for shipping and shaft change and they didn't hesitate to send me a return label and get me sorted out.  

Excellent CS and when it comes to buying new wedges this next year plan on giving them a go.

While it wasn't something that was bought by me, it was something bought for me for my birthday.   Comprises 3 things that I have wanted to try:  ECCO shoes, boa lacing, and spikeless.

Black Friday has come and gone and here’s the damage

Lastly, and more personally I finally sent my old Teryllium Two Newport Tei3 to Scotty’s custom shop for a complete refurb including personalized face stamps, leather cover head, the whole 9 yards. I’ve been battling lymphoma and have been doing all sorts treatments for close to 2 years. The latest batch of drugs seem to be working (knock on wood) so, I thought I’d treat myself.

I’ll post pics soon as I get it.

Your profile says you are much better than me so you may not need to shorten the shafts but then again even Rory shortened his driver drastically. As crazy as it seems I gained yardage, I am swinging with no hesitation and the sweet spot is taking a consistent beating. a straight line with a better trajectory more than makes up for any ball speed loss from 1.5 inches off the shaft. If nothing else when you get the 7 wood throw the 9 wood shaft in and test it, wont cost you a dime.

Garmin Approach S62. I love it. Tracks every shot, provides real life distance for all clubs, tons of data syncs with the app, still learning all the applications. Best purchase in a while.

The Ping grip and headcover for my eBay purchase arrived. I do prefer the midsize grip to the Super Stroke 3.0 that was on the putter. The headcover was a Black Friday purchase at 50% off.

While I did splurge on Black Friday/Cyber Monday for myself, this purchase is for the little guy for Christmas. It will be his first Christmas and I couldn’t help but get him started early.

Clinch Golf Tactile glove.  Just about every other glove I have used is leather and they stretch out fairly quickly and gets loose.  Only used the Clinch glove a few times but so far so good. As this glove is a fabric based it can be washed and should not stretch (or shrink when washed).

Got these sick custom ferrules as a gift from someone for the iron build I'm getting ready to put together. It's the golf logo for my alma mater.

Was laid up for awhile this month, so it is that I was searching for a new 5HY to replace my old Mizuno JPX Fli-Hi direct iron replacement, and, lo, there it was, up for bid...a pristine 2022 Miz ST-X 220 5HY 23 degree loft.

Thinking it was out of my price range, I put in a Scrooge bid . And got it. When I say pristine, I mean new. Hit it two days ago on the range. High, long and a slight tendency left. (Remember: I'm old, so "long" is relative.)

Pulled the trigger and bought the Ghost Golf Anyday Katana bag with my name on the ball pocket. Looked at them for a year, couldn't justify $415, but black friday discount, Christmas Money from MIL(Yes I'm 35 and get Christmas gifts from the in-laws),  so just couldn't pass up less than $100 out of my pocket for the bag.

Now I wait by the mailbox for my Christmas Gift...

Just got new wedges from Sub70. 50, 56, 60 with Nippon Modus 105 to match my irons.

Did some wedge work this morning..testing them out before playing this weekend.  So far so good not as much bite as the TM MG3 but it was early in the morning with some dew.

I will go to the range this afternoon and vice them a run thru. 

Update:

Range session was great, they feel like butter, didn't expected that feel.  Can't wait to actually play them on the course this weekend.

Pulled the trigger on these. Set of T200s 6-GW w/ Modus3 115g Stiff flex shafts and red MCC Plus 4 std size grips. Will be built 1/2” long and 1° upright, but will have another gapping session after they come in to settle on L/L/L.

Looking at 3-4 weeks, which I’m sure will feel like an eternity but couldn’t be more excited!

I just ordered a regular push cart and range finder to start my walking journey. Going to start walking during the weekdays and will take the cart on weekends when I play with the normal group.

Just for experiment purposes I bought a gently used Ping 56 glide 3 with 14 degree bounce and wide sole. WOW! what a great easy club to hit. I have been playing golf 50 years and have always been a traditionalist for the most part but this wedge has certainly helped me. If you are having issue with just hitting it a little stubby or even fat on chips I suggest you try something like this.
