I bought one at 49º to replace my 50º SCOR. Personally, I can't tell any difference. TK says lower flight, spins more than other Tour wedges, but I probably don't have enough swing speed. He never mentioned how the Edison compares to the SCOR, but with the weight distribution, his claims seem reasonable. Talk to @Josh Ross. He bought a set of Edison wedges and seemed to like them last I heard. Have a set of Edisons - 49-53-57 degrees. Like them very, very much. Great forged feel and they spin like crazy. Terry Koehler touts the fact they have more mass high, which is where we mere mortals tend to miss. He's definitely on to something because that's the same thing Cleveland/Callaway has taken with their CBX-type wedges, and it reflects the changes Cleveland made to the ZipCore line - maybe not as extreme, but the same basic idea. Terry's an interesting dude - people either love him or hate him, and I think he's fine with that. He'll tell you what he thinks and leave it up to you to, which is pretty much all you can ask. Other than that, all I can say is I like the wedges, although they're not my favorite in the sand. For that, I still love my old Hogan Riviera. Are they a big step forward from the 410's, or just a refinement? Top lines, soles? Have the lofts changed much? More shaft options? I can't remember looking forward to a new lineup the way I am with the entire PING 425 series. I've been waiting patiently for a 400 Max replacement, so the driver is a given. dlow206
Not a near term purchase, but thinking about stronger lofted irons. I am currently playing the Mavrik Max irons, which have decently strong lofts, but not amongst the stronger lofts out there (7 iron = 30*). If I could fly my 5 iron 190, life would be much better. Maxing out around 180 with a 5 iron. Maxing out around 180 with a 5 iron. The Mavrick (not the Max) will get you there easily. If you can find a set of Rogue X irons, they have the same lofts, and will give you the same performance. Plus you can save a few hundred bucks. I play the Rogue X, and they're like crack. Once you have them in the bag there isn't an iron you'll find that goes further. I recently bought a set of PXG 0211's, and love everything about them. The looks, the feel, and the performance. They are a half club shorter distance wise though, so I'm thinking of sending them back this week under their 30 day guarantee. I'm 66 years old and I'm still getting 175 with my Rogue X 5 iron. I didn't want to give up too much distance, no matter how great the PXG's look in the bag. I live in a golf community with 4 courses, and when the Rogue X first came out, only the senior age, short hitters were buying them, and the better players were buying Apex's. Over the last year (maybe because they dropped in price) I'm seeing the Rogue X in the bags of some of the best players here. It's amazing how many over 50 single digit players are gaming them now, and the number is growing as others see how these clubs are helping other people with their game. They're easily the most popular Callaway iron down here. Hoganman1
I bought Callaway Mavrik Max three and five woods about six weeks ago and they've had a huge impact on my game. I'm 70 and I have lost a lot of distance due to age and injury. My new 18* five wood goes about 170 to 175 yards. My 22* Mizuno JPX 850 forged four iron goes about 160 to 165. However, the four flies fairly low. I'm thinking about adding a Callaway Mavrik Max 21* seven wood for a higher trajectory. I know some will say go with a 4 hybrid, but I've tried hybrids for years and they seem produce spectacular hooks a lot of the time. My 3W was great today when I finally benched the driver - the rollout and staying low in the wind actually had me in front of some of the group on a few holes. I had an original 3Deep years ago and traded it too quickly. I'd love to have it in my closet still. cksurfdude and Rickp 2 Quote In my carry bag: ST-X 10.5* Kai'li Blue R Flex ST-Z 15* Kai/li Blue R Flex ST-Z 4h Linq Blue R Flex Launcher 5h Launcher CBX 6i-PW CBX 54* & 58* Huntington Beach #10 e12 Contact CURRENTLY TESTING - Mizuno Long Game
dlow206
Thinking about a Toulon Las Vegas H7. Never rolled one, but my theories on why it might work: I like the #7 shape, generally rolls well for me I like the stroke lab weighting Heard the face is soft, which i like Quote Follow my golf journey to break into the 80s Tester for the Titleist TSi Driver Spring 2020 MGS Tester for the Fujikura Motore X Shaft Updated 07/15/2022 Driver: Rogue St Max LS - Autoflex Fairway Woods: Rogue Max St 3HL and 7 Wood Irons: JPX 921 Hot Metal 5 to AW - Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff parallel tip Wedges: Glide 4.0 54 and 58 Putter: PLD Custom Kushin

I just added a 7 wood to my set to replace the hybrid. Best decision I made. Working out perfectly. It is a regular stock shaft in regular flex. The club launces easily, straight and lands soft. I like the adjustability of the loft as well. I set it for the 22.5degrees to fit the gap between my 5 wood and 5 iron. GolfEtail had it on one of those flash sales for $100.00 Rickp and fozcycle 2 Quote Driver, TSi 1 S Flex 3 wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 5 wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 7 Wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 5 Hybrid King Tec MMT R Flex Irons, Tour UST Recoil 95 R Flex (6 - Gap) Wedges, Snakebite KBS Hi- Rev2.0 54* & 60* Agera 35" Ultralight 14-way Cart Bag

russtopherb
Currently have a Cally GBB 3w in the bag and I'm wondering if a newer, slightly deeper faced 3w might give me a little bit better performance/forgiveness off the tee. I prefer adjustable, something I could loft up to around 16* or so. Cobras intrigue me for the rails on the bottom of the sole which could be helpful if I wanted to get adventurous off the turf, but really I'd be looking for something almost exclusively off the tee. My Heavenwood pretty much handles long turf shots anyways.
