Fall & Winter - stuck inside

Unfortunately the fall and winter season is approaching in the northeast (but as I type this it is boiling hot and we're in a drought).... 

 

However - i'm wondering what you guys that get "snowed in" do when you can't play?

 

Specifically I'm looking for a way to swing a 'club' indoors.  I don't have a big house and it only has 9 foot ceilings so I can't swing my regular clubs indoors and both cars are always in the garage.  

 

Is there a "mini-club" that you guys use or do you just bundle up and head outdoors??

Find an indoor sim place and buy a winter membership, then hope you don't get the snow you did 2 years ago and try and get out as much as possible.

I work at a golf course and we make use of our outing Pavillion during rain and the winter months.

Petty convenient it opens right towards the driving range.

Wow!  That's nice.  We actually have a range near me that has covered hitting bays and you can buy time on the heater so it blows heat on you while you hit.  But sometimes that's just not enough!

yep, even with our space heater in there and decked out in some fleece outerwear, it can get pretty cold, but at least it's out of the wind which is usually the killer in the winter.

I do a lot of putting. And I use the foam golf balls and chip as much as possible.

A friend of mine who retired last year and still comes and goes between Florida, just left yesterday to go back down lies near Southern Hills Golf Club north of Tampa, he said his phone showed it was cooler down there this week than it was here...ha

I know where SoHilly is.....about 45 minutes north of me.  Never played it.  If I travel north of Tampa Bay, I play either World Woods or Ocala Municipal GC.

Yeah, he plays World Woods a fair amount as well.  I haven't heard him talk about Ocala Municipal at all.

My club built a 2 bay fitting center at the end of the range. In the winter they shut the doors and turn on the heat. Two trackmans plus the E6 simulator. It beats the heck out of not swinging a club for a few months.

Black Diamond Quarry sounds familar, I think he talked about it being very good, he definitely likes WW as it's about 15 minutes from his house as well.

I usually play a half dozen times during the Winter at a car wash, of all places, that has an indoor course. I can play practically any course in the USA I want. Pebble Beach just kicks my ass!
