Got Problems?

A absolutely perfect shot to a blind hole location, right down the middle of the fairway about 230... get to where the ball should be and there is no ball.

That happened to me at Port Ludlow GC, across Puget Sound from Seattle.

Strange. Is it a hybrid? I know there were some manufacturing problems with a few of those GE hybrids.

Nope. Straight up gas water heater. Spoke to the customer service people and have an RA to swap out this one for a new one, so Mothers Day we'll be plumbing.

Not even 4 year old water heater is starting to leak. WTF is that about? We have city water so it's not a hardness issue.

The only saving grace is that I got the 9 year warranty one.

It could be a number of things and doesn't necessarily mean the water heater is bad, but that's the most obvious culprit.  It could be high water pressure coming into your house.  Most systems have a backflow preventer and pressure reducing valve at the meter.  If those fail, and they fail often, unregulated water pressure could be coming into your house.

My previous house sat at the bottom of the hill, less than 300 yards from one of the city water storage tanks.  Needless to say, pressure was a constant issue.  Those valves failed so often, I finally installed a 3-gallon expansion bladder onto the supply line coming into my basement to handle excess water so it didn't remain pressurized in the lines servicing the house while water wasn't in use.  When water wasn't in use, the water remaining in the lines was allowed to drift back into the bladder, taking pressure off the lines and valves.

Heard through the grapevine that they weren't exactly the best built heaters that Whirlpool made.

Sitting in the ER at 8:30am. Wife felt dizzy, blurry vision, headache. The good news was no one else in ER; 7 docs and nurses checking her out. Waiting for tests

Small rant, but needs to get out. The courses on the area are wet. We have had lots of rain and most of them are having a tough time draining in time before the next rainfall. Fair enough and I'm too eager to not go out and play. I don't mind the ball not rolling out or it being a bit spongy under foot, but when a good shot either tee shot or approach plugs to the point where we the ball disappears it's hard. I lost 3 golf balls today all on good enough shots maybe a little left but still in very playable areas but with the ground being so wet they were nowhere to be seen! Thankfully not using amazing golf balls yet, but still frustrating to loose a golf ball on a decent shot.

Thankfully it's slowly drying out so hopefully won't be a issue for much longer.

Thanks guys for all the good vibes!  We managed to escape the ER.  All tests came back negative and she started feeling better after they gave her some pain meds thru IV.  BP was a little high.  She has been under some stress the past few days; working on a couple of memorials that are due before the weekend.  I'm keeping my eye on her for a few hours.  Missed my tee time though.

With my job I'm basically on call everyday(I work in water). This was the 4th night in a row I got “called out”. Sure I get time and a half, but Sunday night I was eating out with the family and tonight I was on my way to church. I guess that's what I get for living the closest to work. Only good news is for the next two weekends I'm off limits, unless one of our water towers fall or something major happens.

My minor rant - people who blame others for their lack of responsibility and actions. If you neglected to do something, that's on you. Lashing out at others doesn't turn back the clock.

Many thanks guys!  My wife is much better today... so much so that she wants to play golf after work tonight.  I'm ready, but will definitely keep an eye on her.  I'm wondering if it might have been a touch of vertigo like J Day.  She's has never had that before.
