If there's not a round saved on your H4 there would be nothing to upload.

I've had to delete and reinstall the app once before because it wouldn't connect to my X5.

I can't get the app to load to my phone from Google play.  Which means I can't create an account.

There is a magnetic clip to attach to your belt, a carabiner that attaches to the belt clip to attach to your bag, and a magnet to attach to your cart.

The big complaint is While the magnet is fairly strong, it will occasionally pop out if bumped fairly hard against something or clothing gets caught underneath

So far in my 7 rounds using it, it hasn't come off on it's own yet. I've gotten my shirt stuck in there putting it back a few times, but luckily I realized it as I was putting it on and was able to correct it before anything bad happened.

I do like it over a watch at this point. Plus tagging is more effective than hoping the watch picks up the swing.

Today, I used my X5 watch with firmware version 2.1.84 for the second time. At my home course has three 9-hole courses (Red, White, Blue), I played the White and Blue courses.

The Good: I had no issues using my X5 with satellite acquisition, club selection, or P-AVG lines during my 4+ hour round. The battery was at 40% after playing.

The Bad: When I synced with my phone, not all holes were captured, and it showed me playing the front nine (White course) twice.

The WTF: Despite selecting the blue course at the turn, hole tracking was mixed up. Because I was in a hurry to grab a quick bite at the turn, I didn’t finish telling the X5 I wanted to use GPS& Track and Scoring. I corrected this issue before teeing off (at least I thought I did). I used the Personalized Hole Maps feature before teeing off and it showed correct holes on the back nine, suggesting a syncing issue. Despite this, only the first 8 holes were captured on the front nine, and only holes 6-9 were captured on the Back Nine (showing the wrong course). This discrepancy raises questions about the accuracy of hole selection and syncing processes.

Recommendation: Enable the selection of two courses for rounds on courses with multiple 9-holes before teeing off to ensure smoother operation and accurate hole tracking.

Did you email Shot Scope detailing your issue? I had an issue with the Dashboard not saving my edits after signing off on one of my recent rounds. They got back to me within 24 hours and the issue was resolved.

I also joined a course that has 3 - 9s. The Clubhouse dictates which of the two 9s will be played & the Starter reiterates said assignment(s).

I know that I had to be careful/specific to select the correct 9 - both on my watch (club tracking) & on my phone (GPS mapping) -  before teeing off on each 9.

As @PhilM75072suggested, reach-out to ShotScope & detail the issue you experienced. They have always responded within 1-2 days (+ the time difference). They just remapped a hole on an 'away' course for me this past week because the green was off by a few yards (I was on the green, but my watch said I was 6 yards off the green). Stuff happens.

@nupezb I agree it would be nice to select/specify which 9s are being played - and in what order - before starting a round . We won't know if the question isn't posed/asked to ShotScope, so include that in your email, too.

I would like to see the GPS Mapping (on the phone) auto-advance to the hole I'm playing, as my watch does, rather than me having to advance it....something I invariably forget to do. Engineering Baby Steps: First, we prove A. Then, we prove B. Then, we prove A+B together. It's a process.

I'm happy to report that, after sitting in a drawer through a 5-month 'off season' (damn Indiana weather ), my X5 performed 'flawlessly'. Yes, a couple of missed shots that I had to manually add - that's on the User (ME) not ensuring the club is 'tagged' before each shot. ZERO missed putts using Auto-mode. And a couple of instances of having to press 'back' on the watch because it was on a screen I didn't expect - will continue to monitor (as I don't wear a glove).

All-in-all....it's simply nice to be able to be on a golf course again!!

You preselect the 9's on your phone? I have the same issue of 3 - 9's. Most times we don't know which nine we're playing until we check in. However, I was unaware that both nines can be preselected. 

In the past I would change to the proper back 9 before stopping by the men's room between the 9's then lose gps sat (more often with the V3 then X5) , and forget to reset it for the proper 9 including gps/tracking. With the X5, I found that I can just wait with screen on 'play back 9' til I get to the first tee on the back and then select the course & gps/tracking. It would be nice to preselect but my sense is that courses that have 3 - 9's are few and far between.

Given my choice for programming initiatives between preselecting 9's or being able to download data to an excel file I'd chose the latter.

I don’t think you can preselect the 9 holes before playing on the phone.

I’m use to selecting the play back 9 with no issues but I was trying to accomplish multiple things before teeing off and I can only assume something went wrong.

Through my first 3 rounds, I have yet to have it fall off either.  I use the carabiner and attach to my front belt loop instead of on my belt.

I just ordered my set of Connex tags and plan to use my phone as my tracker. Do any of you currently use the app versus the Shotscope watch to track your shots and if so, do you any of you also use an Apple Watch?

I didn’t think there was an Apple Watch app? If there is I might have to finally pull the trigger on getting these as it’s the biggest reason I haven’t.

I got my shot scope in and honestly I don't like it.  It's not that it doesn't work well, it's that I already don't like having electronics on me and trying to remember to activate each club. 

I think I will be tracking my stats the old fashioned way. Ha.

Is it easy enough to clip it on to your bag or is it more a matter of not wanting to track each shot as you play?

I had it clipped to my bag and still forgot multiple times. It's one extra thing that takes away from my focus on the next shot.  I love the concept of being able to track but can't see it working for me at this point in time. 

I'm going to hold on to it and try it again possibly but for now want to focus on hitting some goals.

I’m that way with 18 birdies. I’m getting better about starting the tracking as I take the club out of the bag and have been able to track 60-70% of my shots. Hoping I can get more days with SS as I’m less interested in distance and more interested in where my misses are going and learning more about how to enhance my practice time.

That's where I am at. Understanding my misses and I try to write those down on my scorecards.
