I have a tee time for next Saturday at a nice local course I've been wanting to check out. Always nice to have something to look forward to after a long work week.

Also trying to detox a bit after eating terribly and drinking all weekend as well. I'm two months away from my wedding so gotta start tightening things up!

It looks like it's going to be a nasty, rainy day today. I think it's going to clear up the rest of the week and be nice heading into the long weekend.

..well the end of Summer seems to have kinda suddenly thrust itself upon us .. in my area, at least, just over the past few days it's now still dark and gloomy at doggy breakfast time... 

..oh well if the rain holds off gonna get out for 9 with my honey .. hoping to continue my only a few small errors no major blow-up holes golfing but, as we all know, golfers plan and the golf gods laugh...

Good morning MGSpies from a dark last Tuesday of August in downtown Buffalo enjoying my coffee and listening to Afterglow by Phaeleh on Pandora before heading into the office for my one day of the week away from home. Golf today is representing PGA HOPE as a graduate mentor at Wildwood CC with a stop to visit son at RIT before home at the end of a very long day.  Lean Lock Putter testers announced today so we can start talking about this adventure in putting!  Hope golf is a part of your day

Good morning Spies on this Tuesday morning. As mentioned above by @cksurfdude it seems that the sunrise is a little later and the sunset earlier these days here too. Maybe it has to do with very early starts and late finishes, but that is not the real reason.

Hope that you make your day the best it can be, and that if golf is in your plans, you hit them straight, not too often, and most of all have fun.

The three munis that are part of my season pass are punching greens this week so I’m trying to decide if I want to deal with that or play somewhere else. Decisions, decisions.

GM & Happy Tuesday.  No golf as wife and I both have eye doctors this morning.  Everything is shutting down this evening in anticipation of Hurricane tomorrow morning.  I wanted rain but not that much!!!

Good morning Spies!

Keep up the course management @cksurfdude!  It seems to work.  After watching several Golf Sidekick vids on the topic, I am going to try “the way of the playah” as he calls it.   Wish I had his swing tho!  
 

So I bought a used driving iron/hybrid for $40.  Planning to keep the ball in play a little more certainly on tighter / shorter holes.  In 45 years of golf I have never had one. Curious to learn if it will kick a hybrid out of my bag?   It arrives in a few days.

Good morning fellow spies! Early start to the day with employee HRAs and at this point I am READY for these to be over lol. One more tomorrow, then 4 more in September and we are done for the year. A positive note is that we have exceeded the largest participation number we've ever had in my time here, so that is exciting. Hoping to continue to build on this year's success when we start planning for next year and brainstorming some ways to possibly offer the same service to local businesses. Golf on the horizon for Thursday evening! Going to take the boys out for some fun while SWMBO goes out to dinner with her girlfriends. Hope everyone has a great day!

Top of the pot spies .  No golf today, just a workout and adding shaft extensions/grips to a neighbors wedges. Sad news in the area regarding the high rate of loss on Sagauro Cactus .  These guys are kind of like AZ's version of the Redwood trees. The community has lost a number of them (and other cactus-type plants) this summer.  Purportedley it is the combination of the very wet and cold winter followed by the hotter than normal summer as cause.  They sucked up lots of water and are basically boiling inside. 

Our nextdoor neighbors had to have theirs removed when one of its large arms fell off and it started leaning towards the house.  It was about 30' tall and had three different bird nests and hatches this spring... looks wierd with it gone.  Then on Sunday, another one completely fell over into and across another neighbors driveway.

I'm running late for everything these days and I hate it. I once showed up to a date 2 hours early. If I am on time I am late, just how my mind works. 

I have decided my main focus for the off season will be driver/woods. I am miss hitting it so bad, it's like I'm using a unfolded lawn chair. It isn't the equipment its operator.

You guys start early in Ohio, my son's school does not start until next week here in Michigan, a few other schools around us started yesterday.

It feels like they start a little earlier every couple of years. I can remember school starting after Labor Day when I was kid.

It seems like, a lot states are moving to earlier and earlier starts, our son goes to a charter school, so his does not follow the state schedule, but I am not used to see school buses driving around mid August.

Good morning spies!

Having a low-key morning sipping cold brew and scrolling through the forum. Received a shipping notice that the driving iron I purchased should be arriving today. Planning on a range session tomorrow evening to break it in and see how it performs compared to my hybrid.

Excited to see the final captain's picks for the Ryder Cup this morning. I personally think these are the six that should go: Brooks, Spieth, JT, Morikawa, Fowler and Bradley. I've been seeing some rumors that the first five should be expected and Burns may replace Bradley due to his close relationship with Scheffler. Personally I think Keegan deserves it more given the year he had. Either way, can't wait to see what happens.

Hey yall. Long time listener, first time caller.

Girls HS golf started this week. We had our first meet yesterday and the second one on the docket for tomorrow.

Last week's weather was brutal, so the cooler temps this week seemed to be timed perfectly.

I get to get out and play a little myself on Thursday evening. Hoping to hone in on a few things before I take a maiden voyage out to Bandon in a couple weeks.

Greetings from a Delta flight (to MI). Played a bunch last week (work related scramble outings) in the HEAT of WI and Indy. Grand Geneva and CC of Indy never disappoint, but my game withered in the heat.

Off this week for some fun: Spring Lake CC today, Crystal Mountain (Mountain) and then the piece de’ resistance: Crystal Downs on Thursday. (IYKYK) Bucket List course: can’t wait. Hope my game shows up!

Good Morning everyone!!  A beautiful, windy day here with high of 85º until it rains around 5pm.  Wife just left for Seattle for a couple of days to visit her brother who is home from rehab.  A few honey-do's before I head to the course for practice.  Pains are still here but feeling better, so I'll stick with short game work today.
