Popular Post EasyPutter
Good morning on a slower morning get ready for the day - coffee making smelling great to take on the drive back to Oak Hill for day two of two as a Standard Bearer. Warmer day and leaving all the layers essential for yesterday at home with temps in the 70s, Yesterday was with the first group to tee off and did a lot of standing as much as walking with 3 players who were solid in their routine and after an 8:40am start due to Frost Delay got to the turn in 3 hours. Seemed to be tour speed because all of the etiquette of player/caddie interaction and what took extra time from balls hit somewhere other than fairway or green added time to the round. We finished the 18th about 2:30pm making the scorer and me speculate whether the afternoon rounds would be able to finish before darkness. Looking forward to my next round in a quieter place when an 8:40 tee would mean all done for lunch. Still it is an amazing adventure and once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing so living the dream hope golf is a part of your day GolfSpy_SHARK, Invader Zim 315, Triple_Putt and 14 others 11 6 Quote Derek Verified Hack, ~21 handicap Golf for exercise and peace of mind. |> Big Dogs: First Strike Rattlesnake (10), TeelessTM (13), Tommy Armour TA1 3h (19), Ginty Trouble Club (29) |> Blades: First StrikeTM DeliveranceTM 4(23) 5(26) 6(29) 7(33) 8(37) 9(41) P(45) |> Wedges: Worx (55) Lovett (59) |> Flatstick: L.A.B. My plan was to walk 18 today and get a round in before the MGA event tomorrow morning but now it looks like there's a chance of rain all day. Best case scenario is now having a break in the rain that is long enough to roll a few putts and maybe use the chipping green. Sunny in central Oregon and highs in the 80's and I got a little sunburned. My tan was developing nicely playing 3 days a week, but each day that I played this week, I could feel a little more burn. Sun is brighter at higher elevation! The highlight of my day today is a massage. My therapist sent a text yesterday while I was playing and asked if I could come in at n Doon today. I am listening to the PGA championship on the radio. One thing that is bothering me is the lack of shots being called for the LIV players. Bryson is in the lead and I have yet to hear one of his shots called. I did hear one of DJs this morning so maybe it’ll get better. Not thrilled with this Exec only 1 par 4 and usually mediocre greens but maybe it’ll surprise me. Bacon Boyz we’re painful today. Had 2 of the, shall we say “high handicap” players. They lost 6 balls total by the time we were on 3rd tee, man just awful. One of them started running out of his used ball collection and went down pond side to collect water balls. Not sure if you could call the ball flights shank, skulls or high pop ups! How I had a decent round I don’t know but I did. On a couple holes I was by myself or with the 4th player who couldn’t watch them anymore. Rant over, won’t see those 2 for at least couple months…… rkj427, cnosil, GolfSpy_SHARK and 9 others 7 5 Quote Rick Left Hand, Driver; PXG 0311XF Cypher 50 gr Senior 5 wood; Ping 425, Senior Shaft 55 gr 7 wood; Ping 425, Senior Shaft 55 gr 5 hybrid; Cally Steelhead, Hazardous R2 Irons; Mizuno JPX 923HM 7-GW Recoil 460 F2 Wedges; Titleist S9 54*, Mizuno SW 56* Putter; Waaay too many to list
