Whew! It’s good to be back, that was a long 24 hours haha. Got a chance to play yesterday but I was super windy, I took the pushcart for a spin and played the front tees just for a fun round and tried to work on keeping the ball low. I was semi successful in my play, but very successful in getting a good workout in haha! Looking forward to league play tonight at my club and for seeing who will be reviewing these next two tests

Good morning spies! Had to make a run to Second Swing yesterday to pick up a replacement wedge. Like an idiot I left the wedge I use the most on the side of the 18th green on Sunday and no one turned it in. So I will give it a try with the Wild Bunch today. Has to be better than using my sand wedge like I did on Monday. That mistake cost me at least 6 strokes for the round. 

106 for a high today with not much wind. Will make the areas that are still damp from the morning's watering pretty steamy.

Know nothing about putter talk but do know I found this forum bc everytime I got ready to buy golf equipment there was a logo of MGS on it with reviews so the golf companies must think extremely highly of it

Some do and some don’t and some have never heard of it.   This was actually one of the things we talked with Adam about during the MGS Kingsmill outing.   MGS has been threatened with lawsuits many times because of what they say.

Yeah we're back in action!! Have not yet caught up on the forum update news, but yesterday with no forum felt .. alone.... So alone.....

Had a really good weekend clinic out in NJ with Monte Scheinblum .. have made progress but oh yeah still have a lot to keep working on!

Have several pages in several threads to catch up on so that's a good thing, I guess

It is our last morning in the house before the chaos starts.  Around 9 tomorrow our movers will be here for the 7th time in the past 17 years.  It is pretty tough on my oldest this go around, she will be a senior next year, so leaving her friends and teammates is definitely not ideal. We were supposed to be here another year, but the cards fell in a different direction.  It is definitely the most welcome move, yet the most stressful.

Wish me luck.

That's a really important topic - have not yet read but think it's great you're putting it out on the main site. So don't know if this is Part 1 or coming in Part 2 but also important, IMO, to discuss and contrast teacher vs coach.

Good morning! Today has been a weird one so far! I woke up and exercised and after I exercised I got an emergent call from work and needed to respond to that. Then things settled down a little bit once the kids left for daycare and my wife for work. Then I got a call from a golfing buddy that he has the day off for Juneteenth and made a tee time for 18 holes. So I got things in order so I could go with him for at least 9 holes. After my approach shot on hole 1 (which I stuck to 12 feet for birdie ), I got a call from the babysitter saying two of my kids have sicknesses. So I had to leave the golf course and go pick them up. 

Hopefully things settle down a little and I can catch up on all the GMT happenings!

Probably one of the better articles I have read on the main site in a while and looking forward to part 2.   I guess the question will be how much improvement do you see prior to the in person lesson to really judge if online can be as or more effective than in person.   The other question would be feedback on the provided information.  You noted that you took the cheaper option but how much interaction do you get to understand the drills/feedback provided.  If terminology and perspective don’t align are you doing the drill correctly.   In person I get some feedback prior to leaving the lesson and can ask questions to get the necessary clarity.

Morning MGS!

It's great having the forum back online. It was like missing an arm or leg for the day. Just not the same!

Hope everyone is having a great week and staying cool in the middle of this heatwave. If you do get out to play make sure you stay hydrated.

I picked up a dozen Vice Tour golf balls. Never hit them before, but I took an educated gamble to see how this ball might fit me as I play more rounds. I have hit most of the others in the Vice lineup, but I think this one might be in the sweetspot for me. We shall see!

Good luck with your move. Growing up an Army brat I can relate to how your daughter is feeling. I am sure being raised in the environment has made her confident, strong and flexible. Although never easy, she will adapt to the new location with new friends and experiences and continue to grow and learn from it.

Thank you all for your patience during the down time ---- it was a lot. 

Thankfully done now and we should see things run a little faster and a bit smoother. There are also a whole host of new things that the update/migration did for the forum, but will go over that all later. Those who are keen-eyed will notice some of them already. 

I am working on getting all streaks restored as well.

Good afternoon Spies!

Glad to see the Forum is back up and running! Shoutout to @GolfSpy_APH and the rest of the Forum staff for their hard work and dedication to improving our experience. I definitely found myself going to the Forum several times yesterday out of habit 

Off work today for Juneteenth! I don't remember having this day off last year, but I will absolutely never complain about a day off in the middle of the week. I was able to play golf early this morning with a good friend of mine. Will post the details in the How Did You Play thread shortly, but happy with the form I've found lately!

Nothing much on the agenda for the rest of the day. Temperature in the 90s and humid today so likely staying in side for the most part. My wife and I might try to find a patio later today to grab some dinner and enjoy the nice weather. 

Some great pro golf on the agenda this weekend between the Travelers Championship and the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. No Laying Up did a great Women's PGA Preview episode that I would highly recommend to anyone interested.

Great article, Hayes! I had a "free analysis" pop up on Skillest with a coach from the UK back when my case of the hosel rockets had reared it's ugly head, so figured why the heck not and tried it. Sent him a DTL and face on video, like you mentioned, of a good swing and a crappy one, and he sent me back a 10 minute analysis of what I was doing differently in each. I am still mulling pulling the trigger on a three lesson package with him because it seems like a solid deal, and I really liked his approach. 

I would say that if you're a visual learner, make sure if you go the in-person route you're going to get some film of your swing for feedback. I love our PGA Pro at our course, but he doesn't really do video stuff and it makes it more challenging for me to take too much from the lesson except the tune up aspect of it.

In my hotel in Philly. Arrived too early to check into my hotel, so drove over, found my site for 6:30 am tomorrow, grabbed a Philly hoagie and only then went to the hotel. And tried to squeeze into a parking place that wasn't quite wide enough so there's white wall paint on the side of my rental car. Ich bin ein Idiot.
