Just happened to see this and figured why not for people that are looking around, or at least want an excuse to hit the Gen 6 driver. I'm not particularly unhappy with my Gen 4, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to hit the Gen 6 and either see what I'm missing or get paid to find out I'm good with what I have.

I'm pretty sure the PXG fittings aren't free.  If they don't beat your driver, this allows you to get your money back, so to speak.  But, you will only be able to compare their driver to your current driver, so if you are in the market for a new driver you won't be able to hit other companies' drivers in an effort to find the best for you.  If PXG is so bent on being a DTC company, they need to start offering demo deals like other DTC's.

@Hook DeLoft I looked through it a bit, looks like its free to me.  Not sure if I'll be able to find the free time to try it but it sure looks like they're eating the cost in exchange for the extra eyeballs.

This seems fishy…since it can’t only be done at a PXG fitter, I’m not sure you’ll get a truly objective result here…🤔

Is a no risk deal. Try to beat them, if not no $100 and now you get some semblance of what fits you well. They are taking advantage of how most golfers are not fit and therefore do not have optimized clubs

I think it's the case of what @Vegan_Golfer_PNW said. People are either playing with non-fitted clubs (like myself) or old fitted clubs that either haven't kept up with current tech or are no longer a proper fit. And all they have to do is beat your club in either accuracy or distance. Your old club has to beat the PXG in both categories to get the $100 gift card. And there can only be a 3 mph variation in swing speed or you'll be disqualified.

I’m going for it! Just wanna see how good the gen6 is: the 0211 was the straightest driver I’ve ever hit: but also the shortest. So if this driver is in the distance ball park of my current gamer (cobra LTDx LS) but straighter, they can take my money! If not, I’ll gladly take theirs!

So, I actually had a driver fitting today with PXG that I had scheduled last week prior to this offering from them and met at a local course driving range.  Ended up ordering a gen 5 instead of the gen 6 but we dialed in the right shaft and it was a huge difference from my current driver.  If you are a player that has been fitted and have the right set up, I could see you being super close to getting the $150 GC.  It cost me $50 for the hour but they are always having deals on the fittings.  I hadn't had a fitting for the driver and have just always tried a couple different shafts and found what I thought worked best.

I went with my Paradym that has the stock Hzrdus Silver 50 gram S and it lost to the Gen 6 with a Graphite Design TD 5S- not even close to an apples to apples comparison. My numbers were marginally better with the premium shaft- enough that I didn’t get the $100. Pretty ingenious promotion to get you in the door- except it only has me thinking of getting a GD TD for my Paradym. Of course “marginally” has me thinking of spending a couple hundred bucks…

Just completed the challenge. Not a surprise but the PXG won. Turns out my swing speed was about 10 mph slower than I thought and my current driver shaft is a little too stiff for what I need. He did pitch the driver and gave me a quote for it but I declined to purchase the PXG Gen6. It was easy enough though. He let me warm up with a gap wedge then let me it a few more with my driver as a warm up. Then he did the fitting for the PXG. After the fitting, was the challenge. I hit my driver for 5 shots then hit the PXG. The PXG was 8 yards longer than my Callaway Epic Max LS and had a better dispersion but in the defense of the Callaway, I was hitting very poorly and the Callaway isn't probably fitted.

I signed up for mine later today.  The 30 minute session is in fact, free.  I'm fortunate to have a PXG store within a few miles of the house, so figured I've really got nothing to lose.

I'm speculating that this driver may be tighter dispersion or longer, but for me to swap out my Taylormade Stealth - it'll have to be both longer and straighter.

I'm not willing to give up 10+ yards to have moderately tighter dispersion.  We shall see what the numbers say.

No, these were actually free. My son (18 years old), my wife, and I all did one today. They had a significantly better option for my wife, and mine was slightly (very) better than my driver, but my son's current gamer (Epic Max LS with Ventus Black VeloCore 7x) beat anything they had for him.

I did mine yesterday my Ping G410 has been working really well lately & I thought I’d collect $100.  I was wrong. The Gen 6 with a Graphite Design shaft beat mine by 6 yards averaged 291 & the Ventus black beat me by 4 yards - neither won on dispersion so it wasn’t worth several hundred$$ to get less accurate & 6 yards longer.  But well worth the time. Nobody directly behind me so I tried a 3 wood.  It was certainly longer than my 16 degree 5 wood but nowhere near as accurate and I coaxed 261 yards out of Ping G400 on one swing so he suggested I stick with it. No surprises I topped out at 108 & averaged around 105-6 mph not bad for an old man but nothing cleared 300 in many swings.

The sound of a long drive is so much cooler when your playing partner says “Wow”

Strokes gained shows closer to the hole even in the rough is better then be further back in the fairway.

But 6 yards up and 10 extra yards to the right could put you further from the hole. I sometimes have a bad slice and a longer drive that sliced will put me further away than a shorter drive in the fairway.

Well, scheduled my challenge at Scottsdale HQ. Just finished my transition from a full PXG bag to all Titleist with my Gen 5 XF driver being the last PXG hold out in my bag, ultimately getting traded out for a TSR2. I picked up quite a but of distance with the TSR with similar dispersion patterns so really curious to see how the Gen6 measures up!

I did this last week not looking for a new driver but im a gear head and like to try different clubs.

One thing is I knew the PXG driver was going to be at a disadvantage from the start cause I used a jumbomax St8 grip and most or all fittings of anykind dont have anything bigger than standard grips. But I can adjust and still hit it but not at the consistency of my gamer which is a Cobra LTDx LS 9* with a MCA Vanquish 4TX.

So distance wise it was even a fair ballgame and dispersion was pretty close and if it wasnt for the furthest right ball which also happens to be the longest 🤷‍♂️

Looking at the PXG numbers, did you mishit them all? 112mph head speed and only 250 carry? None of that looks good to me. Even spin was really low. Did you get the gift card?

Oh yeah I just couldnt center the PXG as much as my gamer. Id say majority of the PXG were mishit lol . But like i said it was fighting an uphill battle because I use jumbomax grips on my driver so I am fighting the clubhead over rotating and not trying to hook it to left field thus comprising strike. Thats why the PXG had low spin numbers they were just diving hook lasers trying to stay in the air haha

No I did not get the gift card. Cause the caveat to win is to get the best three shots of both and beat it in BOTH distance and dispersion. Obviously the distance was not an issue and actually was surprised how straight those PXG mishits were lol. Even the dispersion has a caveat as its the total left to right dispersion cause if it was the average dispersion from center then my gamer would have won.

But end of the day I didnt go into it trying to get that $100. I like trying gear and it was free so it pretty much substituted as my range session.
