Gary played at Cary Country club. His handicap is 12.8 and according to the USGA course handicap calculator his course handicap is 18. Let me know if you need anything else! Thanks!

Match Play Teams!

The first full match is completed (just a reminder, we need all 4 scores from the matchup to complete the match). 

Just to give you an idea of the calculation we are using for every match... here is the scoring worksheet.  

I have said it before and I'll say it again many times.  @Golf2Much is a Saint for building the spreadsheet and gathering all the scores.  You can see the level of detail he has gone into, and the amount of work he is doing to make this event happen.

Match B of the Barbie Birdie Bandits @glenmore5 / @MsWalkrOfSky vs. Texas2KeyWest @MC3157 / @fozcycle  Results:

It came down to the last 2 holes with Team T2KW having team BBB Stymied 2 and 2 after 16.  With a hole win on the 17th, Team Texas2KeyWest defeats Team Barbie's Birdie Bandits 3 and 1.

We currently have Match Play Scores posted, and are tallying as we speak... but still have many scores that need to be competed by the end of the weekend.  Please be sure to get your scores posted, and let your team captain know as early as possible if you aren't able to play, so an alternate can step in and complete the match scores.

We have a summary sheet that will show the match by match results that we will update regularly (at the top of the page).  I'm not sure if we will be posting the hole by hole detail like above for all 32 matches each week.  Maybe just the bottom match summary section for each match.

I already shared this with you, but what a wild round and run.

Wanted to give up after the first 5 holes, but found my tee swing and made some amazing putts along the way.

The round was so mich fun with an older couple and their friend who I had never met and we did German lessons along the way!

One thing I noticed watching various videos, etc. is that the scorecards in Europe seem to be vertical and in the US they are horizontal. I wonder why they're different? but then again the US uses the Imperial system and the rest of the world uses metric...

I actually have noticed that too. 

They have so much information on the back side of the cards with pin placements and such as well as if you go in and ask for your round scorecard they will have your name printed on it with time and such. 

The thing I like the most here though is when you book you can see all the names with the handicaps and so on. So when I had this round booked I knew I was playing with two 30+ handicaps and a 18 handicap. It helped set expectations for the pace of the round so on.
