On the regular week to week, you can post several rounds. I think using your best round for the match play is sort of the point. The others were pointing out limitations in time and weather.

Understood - I have the same this week with hurricane effects coming through starting tomorrow, so my play this week will be impacted.

Whether is obviously a factor, if you can’t play you can’t play. Everyone will do what they do at the end of the day. I know I am going to set aside a specific round for this just to add some pressure to myself. I approach golf that way in general, anytime I can add pressure to it I want to. I think it makes you better in the long run. I will definitely have some bad rounds but good learning experiences!

Each of the 64 players in the field have the ability to post the rounds in the VCT thread and use the 'Custom Field' to indicate which round should be used for the Match Play.  It is up to each player to select the round.  

If there wasn't clarity before, hopefully that provides it  

I will be playing Saturday and Sunday for sure, and in our Club Championship the following weekend.  So at least 4 opportunities to post a round in the Match Play.  I just hope @Tom the Golf Nut is coming to play.. he may need to carry his Week 1 partners on his back  haha.

Remember guys, this is about the fun and comradery amongst our members - and a little friendly competition for bragging rights.  In the end... the MGS Forum is the winner.

@Lacassem, @J7Hawkins, @Davidm0302, @BassMaestro, @BKervin and @GolfSpy SAM I may have missed them, but do you have your pairings for week 1's matches?  I'm just trying to fill out the pairing sheet so it can be published.

Again, if I missed it I apologize.  There are a lot of moving parts in the tournament so far.

Rounds start in just a few days so I just wanted to give everyone a heads up prior the opening ceremony.

As usual, you missed nothing. I was just waiting on my competition to show their hand...which they've kindly obliged in doing so.

@fredsharky I just checked our matchup and you may have to carry us this week against @KC Golf and @Gary DeMarchi  by my count sharky and KC have identical handicaps which means my basically 0(don’t carry an official one and if I did it would only be 1 for this course at best anyways) is in a serious hole with Gary’s 17. That’s a lot of strokes haha so I’m gonna need my a game.

I'm still waiting for a couple of captains to submit their first week's pairings.   Once I have them, we'll publish the head-to-head match ups.  Hopefully that will be tomorrow.  As mentioned, team match up were announced a few pages back.   If you have some extra time on your hands, you could go through this thread, get the team match ups and find the captains picks for week one.   However, if I were you I'd wait, take that extra time you got back and spend it on the driving range and practice green!  These are going to be very competitive matches!   

Thank you to all the captains who got your week one individual team in already.   For those who are still working on their paring strategies, please get yours into us as soon as you can.
