A little quieter last week than normal...  Either it was WAY TO HOT outside to play as much as we all wanted to (which is a very likely possibility), or the MGS Forum Match Play Event excitement had all the members at home building strategies on how to be victorious!  

Either way... this week is the week (along with every other week) to get out and post some rounds.

Played really well and was -1 through the first 12 holes with 3 birdies. Then I got totally frustrated with the hurry up and wait golf on this particular round and then proceeded to play bogey golf on the remaining 6 holes.  But overall, a very respectable score

Put a different driver in play today, Wilson Staff Triton with Tungsten sole.  Flight path was mostly straight with decent height.  FIR 9/14 for 64%. Weather was slightly overcast with temp in the 70’s and 80’s(before 11 AM).

Thanks and you play great as well! The double was due to getting greedy on a drive going for the green. Cut the dogleg, but caught a bad bounce off a tree. It went OB. The bogeys were short game mental errors. The rest of the round was solid! Hope your round is great!

9/12 fw, 6/18 gir 30 putts.

44-42 for +15 86, round included 3 double bogeys and a triple bogey.  So I played the other 14 holes pretty darn good. 

I had a few moron moments with a wedge in hand inside 50y. I had a 3 putt from 18' that turned a birdie chance into bogey.

Got my first birdie in a long time on the par-3 6th hole 6i off the tee that had a look at the cup and one putt back downhill 12 feet middle of the cup.  Conversation turned to annoying experiences in college with recitation instructors who could not pronounce English words that caused de-matriculation of major courses of study and the 7th tee shot went 172 yards on the uphill carry to the fairway 30 yards beyond what my Teeless Driver can usually reach.

Very inconsistent day. The fact I broke 90 is a testament to my scrambling ability. Lost a sleeve of fresh Q Star before moving to a scuffed Snell Mt b on the back 9 and scoring well with it. 46-42 for +17 88, 37 putts, 6/16 fw, 4/18 gir.

Hit a couple bombs with Driver. Also hit 1 off the toe and 2 in the woods. Tough game. Contemplated retirement from the sport on #15 before a great sand save and a sweet 7i off the tee on #17. 

The 1 net birdie was actually a net eagle.

I haven't been playing much lately, as guys in my regular group have had some issues. My nine hole league isn't enough to post here. 

I've been on a serious slump for the last two months, but I got looked at, and Steve fixed a setup issue (my shoulders were too level and open). After a couple of weeks of working with that, my scores are really coming back. Last night I decided, "What the hell!", and got up early and got out just before 7. Partly due to really soft greens, I tied my best ever score (73, 2 over), and it should have been a little better. There's hope yet!

Having not played in a couple of weeks, I was sorely overdue to play. Overall, pleased with the results. I put the Apex MB 18’s back in the bag, until the T Series irons I’ll be testing show up and it was nice to see I’m still striking the ball really well. Also broke in the new TSr 3 driver and Scotty Cameron putter. They both exceeded my expectations and will be staying in the bag.

my longest drive was back in the neighborhood of where it should be with a lovely 296 yard drive on the par 5 15th, had I aimed properly it would have been on the right side of the fairway rather than the left. There is a copse of Sycamore trees on the left that prevent anyone on that side from going for the green. Unless you can hit a slinging hook, and I don’t have that shot in the bag.

Shot/Hole of the day was a pitch-in birdie on the par 3 17th hole that I executed to perfection.

God, it felt good to be out there today.

Nice round! Majestic Springs is one of my favorite local courses, I just wish it was a little more local.

Thanks! Hard to beat it for the price, but i live a lot closer than you do. The analogue for me would probably be Aston Oaks, nice course but I wish it were closer.

Cooler damp weather today, ball back an inch in the stance made a huge difference and driver off tee also working as well as #3 Fairway Hybrid.  Missed hits, tree branches kept it from being well below handicap and nobody ahead of us meant good momentum and rate of play.

Game off the tee was in a place it had never ever been before: Pure confidence. Usually, iron and wedge play carry the dead weight that is my driver play. Today, I was the complete opposite.

I don’t remember driving the ball that good since starting my shallowing/draw journey. However, golf being golf, I was straight up bad inside 100 yds and an absolute nuisance around the greens. I also couldn’t hole a single putt longer than 3’.

Looking forward to rounds where all the component of my game will show up.
