CARLSBAD, Calif. (Mar. 10, 2024) - Scottie Scheffler won his second Arnold Palmer Invitational behind an impressive bogey free five-stroke victory with his Qi10 8.0° driver and new Spider Tour X putter. It’s his seventh PGA TOUR victory, all coming since 2022 and with TaylorMade drivers and irons.

After extensive testing at home prior to Bay Hill and during practice rounds, Scheffler put his Spider Tour X L-Neck putter in play for the first round.

Entering Sunday T1, Scheffler dominated on the greens by leading the field in Strokes: Gained Putting for the final round behind going 17-for-17 on putts inside 15-feet. He backed that up with leading the field for the tournament in SG: Off the Tee with Qi10 8.0° driver.

In testing, True Path alignment with a full sight line freed Scottie up to not have to use an alignment aid on his golf ball. The technology behind Spider Tour X allowed him and his coach to rely on his natural talent without having to modify technique. Between True Path and high MOI stability of Spider Tour X, he felt free on off-center hits and noticed a considerable increase forgiveness in testing.

that was quite the performance, I chuckled every time I saw him rip one off the tee, his feet are flying all over the place and he never misses the middle of the club face, combined with extraordinary putting, a lethal combination, we don't get to see that very often, congratulations to Scotty for sure...

Scottie is likely my favorite golfer right now, his ball striking is impressive and he just seems like a good guy.

And I love that his wife appears to be his biggest fan…it’s awesome.  At least 2 of his victories that I’ve watched the end of, his wife greets him with “I’m so proud of you”…great to see!

Great win for Scottie!!  Solidifies he hold on #1.  I like his chances for majors this year, and if his putting stays solid… watch out!!

I’m thinking pros need a beard to win now.  🤣

I love the low angles when they show just his feet, the club and the ball in slow motion during impact! Unreal what his feet are doing during the swing and that he hits the center of the face every time!

I didn’t get to watch any coverage until late Sunday, but I’m happy for Scottie. He’s had a wild last two years!

There must e something to that trail leg trick, it's sorta like a bowlers follow through. Slide on the lead foot, lower the ball and swing the trail foot behind you. I had to try it yesterday in the house, the wife said "what are you doing, you're going to fall and break something." LOL

I am not claiming to be a good golfer,  it my trail foot will do this if my foot loses grip.

putting, putting, putting...

Yikes, what a performance, not only were his putts going in but most of them were centre cut.

On the long par 3's he "kept the hole in front of him" chipped and saved par twice that I remember.

So many good takeaways and reminders for me going forward.

I notice quite a few in tv that are up on their toes (Justin Thomas), Scottie is the only one that I’ve noticed that has that much action.

Just goes to show that there is not one correct swing.  I just envy his ball striking!
