I love the brass plating on this driver.

Are those weights in the side?

Yeah the MacTec has had those weights in a few different versions. And I agree about the multiple angles just really liked the contrast of the brass on this head...thought you guys might want to see.

I am not real familiar with the brand. Is this one of the "status" drivers that are in the Japanese market?

The Macgregor MacTec drivers have been consistently in the top 5-10 in sales in Japan for the past 10 years. It was even number one for a couple of years and that lead to the NVG release in the US.

 

Most of the NV series are geared mostly for distance seekers with long and light shafts.

 

Not really a status driver on the level of Honma-Beres, PRGR, Maruman-Majesty it was always reasonably priced for the Japan market which probably means in the $450-550 range.

I own one , this is one of the longest and most forgiving driver i have ever hit .

If this thing has brass plating it looks great now but what will happen when it starts to turn green?
