I used to play a 3 hybrid for my 250 yard club but I hit it very low and fairly inconsistently. Now I play a Ping G430 7w at 19.5* and it will hold a green at about 245. Perfect for what I need.

Holy smokes how far do you hit your putter?  I mean driver 😂

My latest purchase is a boring one but supremely important. Living in Florida, good socks can be one of the most important items that you never really think about. I've always just bought whatever was available, normally Footjoy brand. Wool anything in Florida is out of the equation. Well, I have purchased some Kentwool WOOL socks. I am super impressed by them. Granted this is not summer, but so far they are the best socks EVER!

Feetures’ “Merino 10” series socks are my strong preference mostly because they offer Marino wool socks both thick “max cushion” and thin “ultra light” variants. I have yet to find a thin wool sock option like the Marino 10 series offers. I wouldn’t wear anything else on a hot sweaty day. Plus they’re Made In USA!

I posted this in the good morning thread but I thought I’d post it again here with more detail. I got some new golf shoes for my birthday. True Linkswear OG Feel spikeless shoes! I’ve been wanting a new pair because I’ve converted all of my other shoes to zero drop or “barefoot” style shoes except my golf shoes. I walk most rounds so it was really bugging me. Someone on the forum posted a link to the True Linkswear zero drop shoes (sorry, I can’t remember who) and I showed my wife and she ended up getting them without me knowing! They even come with a nice little carrying case!

... Clearly you don't understand the meaning of the word. I, and all my purchases are pretty offended by unessential.  I have 3 sets of iron heads obviously essential sitting in a box. I have 3 more not needless sets shafted and leaning against a wall. Then a plethora of wood/hybrid/iron shafts that "unessential" doesn't even come close to describing.

I did say new shiny unnecessary equipment! So anything old, used, dull, or dirty was obviously exempt!

And the only 2 things essential in golf are 1. A desire for more equipment and 2. A means in which to pay for said equipment. You can figure out everything else later.

I posted on the "what am I thinking about" page of a putter I was in fact thinking about. Well, I pulled the trigger on it Monday.

Maltby Moment X Tour putter, TrueTemper black steel shaft, Malbty 2.5" slant hosel, and SuperStroke Tour Pistol 2.0 grip. Plus they threw in the SuperStroke weight kit, free.

Hopefully it'll be here in about 2 weeks or so.

Been rocking barefoot style for about 13 years now and feels great. Usually in Merrell trail gloves just so they last longer. Looking at the True Linkswear as well (might have posted about them earlier but maybe not). They look great and I agree would like to align the style.

If you're thinking about true I suggest checking out the second chance section - https://truelinkswear.com/collections/second-chance-footwear?

the shoes are very expensive and you can save a lot of $ on shoes folks have returned that didn't fit and are in nearly new condition.

low drop/zero drop shoes take a bit of getting used to but I find them very comfortable.

I haven’t bought anything lately except the Newton shaft. I’m thinking about a launch monitor and have narrowed to Rapsodo and Garmin. Anyone have any recommendations? I’m interested in mostly range use. I don’t have a net or sim and am not getting one anytime soon. I’ll be hitting range balls. Thoughts?

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

Picked up this beauty on eBay yesterday. Similar to my current Big T blade, but it's a broomstick so I can try out the technique before I commit to a particular style LAB that I've already talked myself into purchasing.

Well, I’ll say that’s a good start!!🤪😜 I’m ashamed to admit how many putters are kicking around my house (and now my son’s house)!!  I will say that the L.A.B. MEZZ.1 MAX has really tamed my ‘wandering eye!’  But, my pro did just get a Jailbird Cruiser in and I pick it up every time I’m in the shop!!  The thing is sweet!

Oh, that's not all of them...this is just the putters that I would consider using for practice or putting in the bag for any given round (minus Happy -- that's just for show, and doesn't seem like it's actually built to strike a ball. Yes I have tried). The putters missing are: a Guerin Tour Spec blade to match the mallet (5th from left - blade is in my office for use with the Perfect Practice), a Golf Gods...umm...phallic putter (only game in joke rounds or as a group punishment for things like not getting it past the forward tees, felt like I should keep it out of the picture), and a handful of Scotties that my dad gifted to me last year (he thinks they're "valuable" and collected them over time, but they're all pretty well used -- technically could include them with the gamers because of condition, but I'm kinda anti-Scotty on the course). Might be missing a few others too.

I hate to be that guy, but by my count you still have three more L.A.B models to buy....🙃

That's why I said this probably won't be the last putter purchase. I'm eyeing up a DF3, but want to try it and actually get fit for length/lie/loft before pulling the trigger. We have one local shop that is listed as a L.A.B. fitter, but still need to go explore to make sure they have all the right tools for the fitting (definitely trust them with TaylorMade, but L.A.B. seems very specialized for their shop, so we'll see).

Driver: :taylormade-small: Stealth Plus 8* (adjusted to 8.75*), Mitsubishi Diamana ZF 70 X Flex (New toy incoming!)

Fairway: :taylormade-small: Stealth2 Plus, 15* (adjusted to 14.25*) w/ Graphite Design Tour AD-IZ 7X

Irons:  :titleist-small: U505 1 Iron (16*), T200 "Utility Build" 3 and 4 irons, all with Graphite Design Tour AD-IZ 95 X Flex, :titleist-small: T100S 5-9 with Nippon Pro Modus 120 X Flex (2021 MGS Test). These things are monsters.

Wedges:  :vokey-small: SM9 46.10, 54.12, and 58.08, all with custom etchings & KBS Tour Masters-themed shafts, X-flex (CHA Post)

Putter: Total headcase and Putter Ho. Down to two main options in the rotation (one mallet, one blade), but have 4-5 by the basement putting green that might make it in the bag at some point this year... Mallet: :L.A.B.: Mezz XL 36" Orange; Blade: :L.A.B.: Link.1 w/Accra White shaft & :garsen: grip

I'm selling some stuff to tidy up the garage and stumbled accross something I'd forgotten about.   I bought these thinking they were going to go on a set of 0317T's when I raised the funds...   I think they're going to go on my ZX7s instead.

Yes! Those are spectacular.  I have these coming in either this week or next for my as-yet-to-be-determined next iron, lol, along with (potentially) the white Star-Grip tour 360 wrap.  I think that could be just an epically good-looking set.

Got a little spendy at Callaway pre-owned.
I had some gift money, so I naturally used it (and then spent 3 times more, D'oh!)

I picked up a Mavirk driver and 3 Hybrid.
My swing speed has been improving.  So that obviously necessitated clubs with stiff flex instead of my existing regular flex. Trying to justify my buy.

Very pleased thus far.  Getting additional 10-15 yards with the driver.

The 3 hybrid replaced the 3 wood.  A little shorter on distance but much more consistent striking.

Nobody tell Costco that I've almost completely replaced my bargain Callaway Edge complete set.
I'd hate to be banned from my exclusive members only (warehouse) club (with dining facilities).

I picked up a used Mavrik driver recently as well. However last Monday was the first time I swung a club since last October. Holy Moly was I bad! We don't play during winters here in Canada.
