Plate night at the firehouse this evening.  Homemade meat hot with a red hot and a cheesburger.

Tonight's dinner consisted of the chicken legs I smoked last night along with baked potato topped with leftover pulled pork. 20210705_180801-01.jpeg.3241fe4f9cb2d91379d11141afad8a98.jpeg

We reheated the chicken in the oven and it was so juicy. The baked potatoes were cooked by my wife in the Instant Pot.

Grilled some burgers and pork chops(not shown) along with some air fryer pierogies for dinner. Had no buns so I did lettuce wraps for the burgers

Last elaborate meal for the holiday-lobster, shrimp and stone fruit salad with a blood orange vinaigrette. Back to boring salads tonight.

Taught my nephew how to cook a little while I’m at their house. Showed him how to sear a steak and we tried this seasoning my sister had and it was awesome on the steak. The goal was to pan sear it then finish it for steak fajitas but he devoured the steak so no steak fajitas for anyone.

They tasted good and I cooked them a perfect medium rare the one with the larger bone was rare near the bone but medium rare else where it was funny yet annoying I thought I nailed them but I was close

Floated out to a different firehouse for this month and my partner is also a big foodie.  I channeled Tony Bourdain this evening and the London episode of Parts Unknown.  It was a tribute to his meal with Marco Pierre White, a simple fish & chips and mushy peas.  And Even made Marco's childhood favorite, chip butty.  So.  Good.  I had to run 3 miles after dinner just to work it off 🙂

Grilled some beef stew cuts from butcher box today and some corn. It turned out okay they definitely could have benefited from a longer cook time but it was still good
