I must be getting stronger, the house I hit easily this morning I couldn't even reach B4. So I guess I'm one house longer

BTW, homeowner wasn't thrilled but don't buy a house on a narrow Par 4 with water all down the right side.

Hope everyone is having another good week. This week for me has been ok. No as much gym time and I didn't get to practice because of snow and other things but I've been pretty good with the diet part which is good so I'll take it.

Get you some apple cider vinegar and drank a glass every morning.  I mix two tablespoons with two squirts of honey and cold water. Stir well and slam that sucker down.  I swear it has helped me lose several pounds and it  has several other health benefits.

Pretty much the same weight for me this week. Thought I had turned a corner but looks like I'm just losing the same 3-4lbs over and over again. Gonna talk with my trainer and see if there is something in my diet that's hurting me

Another 'thing' that works is a cup of hot water with lemon juice. I use to be a big coffee drinker (several cups just in the morning). Now it's one cup followed by several cups of hot water doing the day (FYI remember I leave the the colder climate known as the Midwest).

Down 1 lb - 7 to go. Haven't missed a day of working out which I'm more proud of. However, I definitely need to cut out the sugar - having a tough time with that.

Back down to 330 for me. I talked to my trainer about how I just seems to be losing the same 3-4 pounds over and over and he said look into how much fiber I'm getting and shoot for at least 30g a day so I'm gonna try that and see how we do

Still working out had the 2nd of the 5 personal trainer sessions.

 

 

3 rounds

 

2 sets of stairs( up hitting each with both feet)

15 up and overs on 18" box

15 Sandbag/DB Burpees

15 over the shoulders with Sandbag/Medicine Ball

30 Leg Raises

15 side/front lat raises with 10# plate in each hand

 

This work out is quite a bit easier than the first would have been nice to start with it. I added that on stair after going up I take a lap around the track, and use the 10 pound weights on up and overs.

 

Still haven't lost much weight. Will have to look into diet a little more. I gotta be honest though I thought for sure cutting out pop and fast food would have more of an effect. I also have a scale that give fat%, muscle%, water% and bone weight. Almost no change across the board. But feeling better and able to do more each time.

Just curious have you ever had your thyroid checked? If it's out of kilter it's extremely hard to lose weight.

Portion control is my key to losing weight. The workouts will help in the weight loss and gain strength. All of this should help when I pull the trigger on my knee replacements.

IMO, that's key. You'd be surprised at how many calories you consume when you start logging your food.

I found it interesting the mindset you get when working out. Now when I start thinking about having a couple of cookies (my downfall) I now automatically equate it to how many more (painful) minutes I have to spend on the elliptical. Its great motivation for cutting back sugar.

Yup working out helps. I was eating fast food like 3 to 4 times a week for lunch. Now I've only had either subway twice or not as good form me erbs and gurb like twice. Sub was better because I got more veggies on the sandwhich. And cut out pop, I did have two cherry cokes last Friday as the wife and I had pretty long weeks so we just got pizza and the cherry coke which I added whiskey to. Other than that clean living the last month in a half. Now that I have cleared the first hurdle I can focus on sugar from the rest of the day. Although I have been avoiding treats and removed all high fructose corn syrup. I know sugar is still pretty high. Working on removing one or two things at a time.

Went to gym with SWMBO today. Great to get back after the bout with the FLU. Didn't push too hard don't need to overdo it. Felt good but need a nap.

Current weight 214#, lost 10# so far this year. Want to lose and keep off another 10#.

What a bummer! We had about a 1/2 inch last night but it's going to get warm this week - high 40's and 50's so I'm not even bothering to shovel. Don't despair spring is on the horizon.
