This week the LPGA travels to England for the playing of the Ricoh Women's British Open. I.K. Kim will be trying to defend the title she won last year in Fife, Scotland. I.K.'s final round 71 was good enough to top a charging Jodi Ewart Shadoff (she shot a final round 64) by two strokes.

Is it just me or does it seem there has been a bunch more aces on the various tours this year than typical?  Perhaps it's just that I've never had one that makes me a bit more aware when they happen.

I think it is about the same. I have never had an ace either so I am a little bit more jealous when the make aces. If the odds of an ace are 2500:1 then over the various tours. 4par 3s times 150 for 2 days time 70 players for 2 days over 4 tours. We should see about one per week over the four tours.

Really enjoying watching the play this morning. Judy Rankin may be my favorite golf commentator, knowledgeable, articulate, always delightful to listen to. Great golf being played.

I know right.  I almost feel guilty for all those who haven't had the chance to experience golf; playing and/or watching. This sport, like none other IMHO, continues to lead the way with quality competition conducted with class.

Jane Blalock's dad must have left us by now.  I often used to walk the course talking to him.

 

Years ago,  I really enjoyed LPGA golf, but I haven't really kept up.

 

I'm sure that the new broads can really play, though.  God bless them.

I was able to watch some of the Final round while on the treadmill @ the gym today. Congratulations to Georgia Hall she played well, deserved the win and hope it's the start of a long career.
