alternative putter to the Evnroll ER8

i have been saving money to buy a mallet putter, an Evnroll ER8 putter since I saw MGS reviews 3 months ago. i made an order at the South Africa distributor (i am in Zimbabwe) now i hear it has been discontinued. i know the ER7 won the year ER8 but ER8 numbers seemed better and i just loved its review and learned towards it.

what is an alternative Evnroll putter to have now that ER8 is being discontinued. i am not sure why this is happening for a winning putter. somehow i seem stuck because i saved up just for that ER8. its the only one i want. am i crazy that my heart was set for the one putter and only that putter.

All products go through evolutions and may get discontinued. Can’t you purchase used or through another retailer?

I recently got the #4 Premiere (dark finish w/ black shaft). Highly recommend these putters. I've tried various EVNROLL putters and wasn't fond of the sound, didn't like the feel etc. Gave the Cleveland HB SOFT a try and instantly fell in love.

What about the ER 5 or ER 7?  Would either of those work?  20-25* Toe hang?  Might be viable options.  Good luck in your search. I am getting fitted on Thursday after changing my stroke a little bit after watching David Edel videos.

I bought an ER2 a few years ago. Then I thought I wanted an ER8, but after trying several Evnroll models head to head, I bought an ER5B GG. I’ve never regretted it.

Great suggestion - I rented clubs last year and they were all Cleveland including a huntington putter.  I was amazed by how solid the putter face felt and the feedback it gave.  The only knock I have on them is that they are not as well balanced in my opinion than Scotty Cameron or EvnRoll putters.

My buddy bought the ER7 and we have tried them side by side - very similar. I second the ER7 or even the ER5 if you don't need the longer sight line of the 7/8. 

Used is also a good shout! I bought my ER8 used for $200 around 2 years ago - glad I did.
