Ummm, happy Wednesday Spies.

My fellow spies… It is Wednesday, the day we start wandering out of the wilderness of the work week towards the salvation that Saturday and Sunday seemingly offers.  
  Survived yesterday’s management mind numbing meetings…..Spent the day in different settings with different numbers to discuss the same thing “ Decision Making “ the how’s, why’s , who’s, and outcomes.
   My spill was twofold.. One; that different parties will see the outcome of the decision made, well… differently ( Not exactly rocket science ).

Secondly, there will probably be those who will silently chafe if not outright engage in rebelling at said decision..

One more day in the corporate community, today is with the marketing and financial bigwigs… Should be interesting but definitely not fun. This group is very young.. Within the last decade the most serious issue facing them was who to take to PROM.

Good morning Spies,

Second cup going down. I made blueberry protein pancakes this morning for my wife and I.
I got a funny update on the day in the life of my son. He met Jason Momoa yesterday. Jason was in Southern California launching his vodka release. 


 

No golf today. But got out for a quick 9 yesterday morning after the rain passed. 1 hour and 7 minutes for 9. It’s a rather short but fun course. Which means iron and wedge practice. I’m really liking my new Vokey SM 9. Things were just clicking for me. It was a nice change. Everything was a coming up a bit short but it was crazy windy.

The weather looks rainy, but still headed out.  The greens will be slower so May be I can sink a few more!

Little a.m. run to get everything moving. A bit of work this morning followed by a Par 3 match tonight in the lights, then 4 days of digging up turf and hacking away at someone's nicely manicured landscaping.  Hopefully one or two will be worthy of inclusion in the VCT and Match Play sections.  Hope you all have a wonderful, sunny week.

Big 12.  UCF is and has been a fun team to watch over the years and a great experience to attend.  Received my masters degrees from there, also wife is an alum and my 2 daus received 5 degrees from there.

Morning all.   Thanks for the well wishes. Back home from my MRI and catching up on all the spy news.   Results were posted on the patient portal and not surprisingly the results stated/showed nothing different than prior testing has shown…kind of feels like a waste of time.   Maybe the actual images will show something that isn’t in the report.  Now I wait until I hear from the doctor and additional tests scheduled for mid October.   
 

other than that I’m finishing out the workday and hoping for a quiet rest of the day.

Good morning all!

Today's my Friday since I'm headed out of town tomorrow. Gotta love short work weeks. Unfortunately that means laundry and packing needs to be done today, but I can't complain.

Weather's looking to be nicer today, hoping to do a long driving range session after work to try out some new swing drills.

Happy late morning!!

..sooo .. last two mornings I've been a little under the weather... caught something just before the weekend, I think, wasn't feeling 100% and then Monday got worse thru the day and woke up Tues to feel like a fully loaded speeding dump truck ran over me - then stopped, backed up and ran over my right side again just because it could

.. seemed to fade as the day went on (aided by a steady diet of Advil, Vitamin C, Emergen-C Immune+and lots of water) but this morning was a bit of a struggle again...

My wife's an elementary school teacher and she said most of her kids have come to school *sick*...

She seems to have a better immune system than I but who knows may have gotten something second hand from those little bugger germ factories

But on the brighter side, and speaking of Hump Day - she shows them that classic commercial on Wednesdays and they all get a huge laugh out of it!!!

Once during a performance review it was noted the I “don’t suffer fools gladly”. I took it as a compliment.

That's really cool you and family are alums of UCF, @GaryF!  Dante Culpepper & George O'Leary turned the football program around. They certainly have been a fun team to watch.  McKenzie Milton's untimely injury, then Scott Frost departing has provided some challenges the past few years.   UCF football stadium (The Bounce House)is electric.  UCF moving to Big 12 Conference will be interesting.

Good Morning Spies, 

Nice Central Florida morning, not as humid at 7am tee time, 76 degrees.  It was nice to walk 18 holes! Working from home today and on first cup of coffee, after golf. Would have been my 2nd cup, except I forgot to fill the KCup refillable pod. Poured a nice cup of hot water .

It’s the kids fault!!!   You need to put on your PPE and protect yourself from those germs.

I've been fortunate @snoopy79, often work from home. The group I play with are all walkers as well, the first group out & we can walk 18 in about 3 to 31/2hrs. When I walk 18, I'm usually working from home & will be a late work day.  Some mornings I walk 9 holes & home by 9am to start work early.  It's nice when sun up is a 6:30am. we are done before 10am.

Get lots of rest!  My wife taught for several years at an alternative high school that had a nursery for babies, she lived on Airborne and never really had a problem.  She couldn't afford to get sick because she also ran her business after classes and had to be there for her customers.

The visit this morning was the "assessment visit"... interview, measurements, testing my functional abilities.  I told the physical therapist my stretching and workout routines; we start exercises next week.  

The physical therapist asked me "What kind of squat are you accustomed to doing?"  I said, "Diddly".

Yes it will.  When we bought property up here in the 2005 timeframe I was still working in Orlando and we would come up here periodically.  Very large development with 6 courses on three sections of the lake.  One morning we went to breakfast at one of the clubhouses and as we walked out, ran into and had a nice conversation with O’Leary.  Probably around 2006 or 7, but he is still listed here.  Lots of coaches have second…or first homes here - Arians, Mullins, Beamer and a few others.

Good morning (AFTERNOON)

Things are calming down for me or they seem to be other than my sciatic. Hitting/Practicing golf makes the next morning a little tougher. I feel pretty good while I practice and some movement is getting easier so I should be ready by next season.

Finally finished with the fantasy world at corporate headquarters. The financial group is  planning some very ambitious, aggressive, an at the very least some sketchy business revenue modeling. Just couldn’t bring myself to try and explain that this is why that groups c-suite are so young. That something like this was tried about 7 years ago with the outcome being that most of the former c-suites now being forcibly retired and being the occupants at an all inclusive resort in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. 

Headed back to my domicile of indentured marital bliss. Not looking forward to explaining to the female high mucky-muck that my new employtant  contract is not exactly what she had wanted or had in mind. 
   Trying to keep my eye on the prize of golf tomorrow. Just have to dodge whatever slings and arrows that will be directed at me by my beloved after explaining my  new work contract…. Pray for me.
